Antarang Foundation is looking for a Program Support Officer to deliver structured career education sessions to students from Grades 9-12 in Kurukshetra. The role involves facilitating engaging classroom sessions and providing individual support.

Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work closely with adolescents are essential. A background in Social Sciences or Education is preferred. The role requires a commitment of 7 hours a day for at least a year.

Qualifications

• Commit 7 hours per day Monday-Saturday for at least a year.
• 1-2 years of experience in classroom management or related educational setting.
• Proficiency in local language is mandatory; working knowledge of English required.

• The Program Support Officer will deliver structured career education sessions to students in Grades 9-12 across partner schools.
• The role involves facilitating engaging classroom sessions, conducting assessments, providing individual career counselling, and supporting students in making informed career choices.
• The candidate will also manage program data, coordinate with school stakeholders, engage with parents, and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment.
• This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work closely with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.

Profile Requisites

• 1. Graduate in any discipline; candidates with a background in Social Sciences or Education are preferred
• 2. Able to commit 7 hours per day Monday-Saturday for at least a year
• 3. B.Ed. or a certification in Counselling is an added advantage
• 4. Proficiency in the local language is mandatory; working knowledge of English is required
• 5. 1-2 years of experience in classroom management, student facilitation, or a related educational setting
• 6. Prior experience working with adolescents and first-generation learners is strongly preferred
• 7. Exposure to community-based or grassroots programme work is desirable
• 8. Basic digital literacy Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and WhatsApp
• 9. Ability to maintain programme documentation and related work products
• 10. Empathetic and sensitive when working with teenage learners across diverse social backgrounds
