Job summary

Eaton is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee large-scale software delivery across multiple UCAS products and releases. You will manage business cases, financial forecasting, and governance, while coordinating WBS, plans, and milestones to ensure predictable execution.

The role requires strong SAFe and Waterfall experience, PMP credential, and the ability to partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver enterprise platforms on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B Tech / M Tech required or equivalent.
• PMP certificate desirable; proven governance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate portfolio prioritization and planning across UCAS products.
• Manage delivery across multiple products and concurrent releases.
• Own Business Opportunity Calculator activities including business case development.
• Develop WBS, integrated plans, resource and release schedules.
• Apply Waterfall and SAFe; drive program execution and continuous delivery.
• Oversee project budget and resource planning; liaise with EMs.
• Partner with Product & Engineering to deliver enterprise platforms.
• Define roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Coordinate PI planning with RTE, PM, PO, SM, and architects.
• Reduce defect debt with EMs, SMs, and POs.
• Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes; manage risks and issues.
• Act as single contact between software and product teams; ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure interdependencies are clearly outlined and acted upon.
• Identify value-added actions beyond immediate requests.

• Contribute to portfolio-level prioritization and planning across UCAS products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer commitments, and engineering capacity.
• Manage and coordinate delivery across multiple UCAS products and multiple concurrent releases.
• Own and coordinate Business Opportunity Calculator (BOC) activities, including business case development, financial forecasting and governance reviews.
• Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), integrated program plans, resource plans, and release schedules to ensure predictable execution.
• Leverage experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), to drive effective program execution and continuous delivery.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified with strong program governance, planning, risk management, and stakeholder management expertise.
• Partner with Product & Engineering team to define and execute end-to-end delivery of enterprise software platforms and applications
• Define program roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics
• Partner with RTE, PM,PO,SM and Architects resulting in effective PI planning
• Work with EM, SM and PO to reduce the defect debt.
• Owns the Project Budget/profit plan, work with EMs to determine # of dev/test resources
• Customer Centricity & Stakeholder Partnership
• Building partnerships and acting as Single point of contact from software to Product teams, Coordinates and focused on delivering new or upgrading existing features.
• Clearly outlining expected deliverables and interdependencies towards product teams and with agreed timelines
• Looks for ways to add value beyond immediate requests and initiates actions
• Provide clear and regular communication on program status, risks, and outcomes
• Program Risk and Issue Management
• Tracks, follow up and solve dependencies as per the plan
• Proactively assessing and responding to risks during the PI execution & Program level.
• Owns analyzing, and resolving issues that arise during a project by applying problem solving methodologies
• Communicate the delays on schedule due to unplanned events and mitigation plans

Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software project and program management, delivering complex, multi-team, multi-release enterprise applications.
• Proven experience managing the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from program initiation and planning through execution, release, and closure.
• Hands-on experience driving program planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, dependency management, and critical path execution.
• Strong experience using project, program, and enterprise tracking tools (e.g., Jira,Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent) for scope, schedule, and delivery management.
• Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, resource forecasting, and utilization management across multiple teams and programs.
• Experience managing program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and forecast-vs-actual tracking.
• Strong background in program-level risk, issue, and change management, ensuring predictable and on-time delivery.
• Experience creating and delivering executive-level dashboards, insights, and reports to provide transparency into program health, progress, and risks.
• Working experience coordinating delivery in Scrum and scaled delivery environments, while maintaining overall program governance and accountability.
• Experience leveraging AI and data-driven insights to improve program planning, forecasting accuracy, risk identification, and delivery predictability.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools or platforms for reporting automation, or engineering efficiency.
• Proven ability to align cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, Operations, Finance, and Business stakeholders.
• Strong experience with stakeholder communication, executive reviews, and escalation management across global teams.
