Job summary

GATI Foundation in Maharashtra is seeking a Program Manager for Private Sector Engagement to lead employer relationships and build pipelines for international workforce opportunities. Qualifications

Role

This role leads industry partnerships and employer engagement across Maharashtra for GATI's workforce mobility initiatives. The Program Manager builds relationships with companies, industry bodies, and chambers of commerce to create employer pipelines for international workforce opportunities, while also leading events, research, and program execution.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with employers, industry associations, and chambers of commerce across Maharashtra
• Identify and onboard companies for international workforce mobility initiatives
• Develop and execute strategies to grow GATI's employer and industry network
• Conduct outreach through meetings, presentations, and industry forums
• Prepare partnership proposals, concept notes, and engagement plans
• Lead planning and execution of industry programs, pilots, and partnership initiatives
• Develop implementation plans, timelines, and monitoring frameworks
• Coordinate with employers, universities, government agencies, and international partners
• Track industry trends and workforce demand across priority sectors
• Maintain stakeholder databases, partnership trackers, and CRM systems
• Plan and execute employer roundtables, conferences, and delegation visits
• Manage post-event follow up, reporting, and action tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field
• 5 to 8 years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate engagement, or program management
• Strong network within Maharashtra's private sector or employer ecosystem preferred
• Experience engaging CXOs and senior business leaders
• Experience with industry associations, chambers of commerce, or workforce development initiatives
• Strong understanding of employer engagement or global mobility ecosystems
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and problem solving skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment
• Fluency in English required, Marathi and Hindi are an advantage
• Willing to travel extensively across Maharashtra
