Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to own catalog defect resolution and readiness for Whole Foods Market within the Grocery Catalog Operations and Intel (GCOI) team.

This role bridges the specialists who execute catalog operations with the program and product managers who own the systems behind them. You will drive ASIN-level defects to root cause, document findings, and carry recurring failures to the teams that own the fix.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Bridge catalog execution and program ownership: Own the escalation path for ASIN-level catalog defects that exceed existing procedures, driving each to root cause or a confirmed accountable owner.
  • Absorb volume during spikes and coverage gaps rather than only routing it, so the team's SLA position holds when inflow exceeds plan.
  • Convert operational symptoms into problem statements that program managers, product managers, and engineering partners can act on.
  • Speak for GCOI in defect triage forums and cross-team working sessions, supplying the operational evidence no partner team can see from their side.
  • Land partner and product decisions back with the specialist team in executable form: what changed, what the new handling is, what to do differently from the next ticket onward.
  • Own the documentation trail for every defect you drive (investigation path, root cause, resolution, prevention) and author or refresh SOPs so the next occurrence is resolvable without escalation.
  • Execute assigned catalog readiness tasks, from ASIN creation through attribute validation, against defined workback schedules.
  • Mentor L3 Catalog Automation Leads on troubleshooting methodology and catalog tooling, raising what the team resolves without escalation.

Job description

We are looking for a Program Manager to own catalog defect resolution and readiness execution for Whole Foods Market within the Grocery Catalog Operations and Intel (GCOI) team.

This role is the bridge between the specialists who execute catalog operations and the program and product managers who own the systems behind them. Specialists escape to you when the SOP runs out. Program and product owners come to you when they need to know what is actually happening in the catalog. You will drive ASIN-level defects to root cause, quantify blast radius, document what you find, and carry recurring failures to the teams that own the fix.

If you like dive-deep problem solving, want to build program management depth in a business where catalog quality is the constraint, and want to be the person holding the real answer, this role is for you.

Key job responsibilities
  • Bridge catalog execution and program ownership: Own the escalation path for ASIN-level catalog defects that exceed existing procedures, driving each to root cause or a confirmed accountable owner
  • Absorb volume during spikes and coverage gaps rather than only routing it, so the team's SLA position holds when inflow exceeds plan
  • Convert operational symptoms into problem statements that program managers, product managers, and engineering partners can act on
  • Speak for GCOI in defect triage forums and cross-team working sessions, supplying the operational evidence no partner team can see from their side
  • Land partner and product decisions back with the specialist team in executable form: what changed, what the new handling is, what to do differently from the next ticket onward
  • Own the documentation trail for every defect you drive (investigation path, root cause, resolution, prevention) and author or refresh SOPs so the next occurrence is resolvable without escalation
  • Execute assigned catalog readiness tasks, from ASIN creation through attribute validation, against defined workback schedules
  • Mentor L3 Catalog Automation Leads on troubleshooting methodology and catalog tooling, raising what the team resolves without escalation
About the team

GCOI (Grocery Catalog Operations & Intel) owns catalog operations across Amazon's grocery ecosystem — Wholefoods, Grocery Partnerships, Amazon Fresh, and SSD-G & Quick Commerce. We support catalog maintenance from ASIN/offer creation to attribute maintenance within ASCS. Our differentiator: deep domain knowledge of end-to-end catalog flows lets us design, build, and deploy automation without dedicated engineering headcount, collapsing the cycle from defect identification to automation within the same team.

Basic Qualifications
  • - 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • - Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams
  • - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
  • - Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • - Knowledge of general AI tools
