Job summary

Emerson seeks a skilled Project Manager to oversee complex domestic and international projects from award through close-out. You will craft detailed plans, manage resources, procurement, and finances, coordinating across multiple manufacturing sites to optimize quality and cost.

The role requires strong planning, stakeholder management, negotiation, and risk mitigation abilities, with a global customer and supplier network. Travel regionally or internationally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-functional projects in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans with schedules, milestones, resources, procurement strategies, and financial objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple manufacturing sites to optimize outcomes, quality, and cost.
  • Drive execution by managing critical paths, monitoring performance, and addressing risks and issues.
  • Ensure customer specs, contractual commitments, and deliverables are understood and met.
  • Manage change requests, scope modifications, and commercial opportunities while maintaining objectives.
  • Lead project kick-off and review meetings, inspections, and milestone discussions.
  • Foster collaboration across Sales, Order Management, Service, Manufacturing, Leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Support realistic delivery commitments through planning and coordination of documentation and lead times.
  • Partner with close-out teams to ensure documentation delivery and handover.
  • Negotiate scope, terms, change orders, and customer expectations to support outcomes.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulations, and company policies.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead the execution of complex domestic and international projects throughout the project lifecycle, from order award to project close-out.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, milestones, resource requirements, procurement strategies, financial objectives, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple manufacturing sites to optimize project outcomes, capabilities, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Drive execution excellence by managing critical paths, monitoring project performance, and proactively addressing risks and issues.
  • Ensure customer specifications, contractual commitments, and project deliverables are understood and executed effectively.
  • Manage customer change requests, scope modifications, and commercial opportunities while maintaining project objectives.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, customer review meetings, inspection activities, and milestone discussions.
  • Foster collaboration among Sales, Order Management, Service, Manufacturing, Leadership, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support realistic delivery commitments through effective planning and coordination of documentation and lead-time requirements.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Professional project management certification such as PMP, Prince2, CAPM, APM, or equivalent.
  • Experience leading multi-site and multi-country projects.
  • Knowledge of contract management, commercial negotiations, and change order administration.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain coordination, and project financial management.
  • Experience managing projects with significant customer interaction and complex stakeholder requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
