Job summary

Infosys in Hyderabad, India seeks a seasoned Production Support professional to ensure stability of Java Spring/Spring Boot applications hosted on AWS.

You will own end-to-end production support, lead P1/P2 incident triage, perform RCA, create runbooks, drive deployment readiness, and mentor junior engineers to improve troubleshooting and communication.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall experience in Production Support for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Java Spring and Spring Boot; debugging production issues.
• Strong AWS production environment knowledge and operational support.
• Experience with incident management, RCA, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production support for Java Spring/Spring Boot apps on AWS.
• Lead triage and resolution of incidents (P1/P2) and SLA adherence.
• Perform log and metric analysis; root cause analysis and problem management.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles; improve support readiness.

Key Responsibilities: Production Stability & Incident Management

• Own end-to-end production support for Java Spring/Spring Boot applications hosted on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Lead triage and resolution of incidents (P1/P2), drive war rooms, provide timely stakeholder updates, and ensure SLA adherence.
• Perform deep log and metric analysis to isolate issues across application, infrastructure, and dependent services. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Management
• Conduct RCA for recurring/critical issues, document findings, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Identify systemic risks, reduce alert noise, and implement permanent fixes in collaboration with engineering teams. Operational Excellence
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles to improve support readiness and reduce MTTR.
• Drive production release readiness activities including deployment support, rollback planning, and post-release validation.
• Mentor junior support engineers and promote best practices for troubleshooting, escalation, and customer communication. AWS Support & Reliability Improvements
• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS-based components, ensuring secure access, stable configurations, and cost-aware operations.
• Partner with teams to improve observability and reliability through better monitoring, alerting, and automation opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (BTECH, BSC, MTECH, MCA).
• 10–15 years of overall experience with strong ownership in Production Support for enterprise applications.
• Hands‑on expertise in Java Spring and Spring Boot, including debugging production issues and implementing fixes.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS in a production environment, including troubleshooting and operational support.
• Proven experience with incident management, RCA, and driving issues to resolution with clear communication.
