Qualifications

BSc in CS or BE with startup exposure is preferred.
3–5 years hands-on DB experience required.
Linux & SQL DB experience required.
Three-tier support experience with Mongo, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL.
Knowledge of financial products and trade flows is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor/resolve system errors and disruptions; manage incident resolution with upstream data providers.
Respond to inquiries and document resolutions for support scenarios.
Prepare and present stability reports and dashboards.
Analyze alert/stability trends and provide recommendations to management.
Automate resolution processes with scripts or programming platforms.
Collaborate with engineering to design, build, and maintain systems; assist in schema design and query tuning.
Troubleshoot issues across stack including hardware, software, app, and network.
Identify opportunities to improve automation for deployment, management, and visibility.
Represent the SRE organization in design reviews and readiness exercises.

As a Production Support Engineer, you will work closely with engineering/development teams to design, build, and maintain systems. Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company. You will be responsible to investigate the root cause of the issues, educate the developers about the cause and accordingly mitigate and arrive at a workable solution.

Expected Responsibilities

You will need to monitor/resolve system errors and disruptions. Also manage document resolution wherever required. Manage incident and liaison with upstream data providers to resolve issues.
To respond and solve inquiries and operations requested by users. You should document, review, handle resolution steps for support scenarios.
To prepare and present stability reports and presentations.
As a part of the production support team, you will need to analyze alert and stability trends and give recommendations to the management.
To automate the processes with respect to resolution of common problems, routine investigations and user requests with the help of scripts or available programming platforms.
To collaborate with engineering/development teams and respective stakeholders to design, build, and maintain systems and assist them decide on products to use, schema design, and query tuning.
To troubleshoot issues across the entire stack, hardware, software, application and network.
To identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for the company; scope and create automation for deployment, management and visibility of our services.
To represent the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization in design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.

Expected Skills

BSc degree in Computer Science or BE along with experience for a consumer internet startup, experience in a business where you witnessed and were involved in product scaling from zero to 1 is great
3-5 years of relevant and hands-on work experience with strong database knowledge.
Hands-on experience with Linux & SQL based database
Three Tier Support experience with DBs Mongo, Mysql , Postgres , MSSQL
Familiar with Financial Products like Equity and Fixed Income, securities, different types of risks in an investment bank, and trade flow.
Strong understanding and knowledge of system design and architecture along with a fine database knowledge.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and willingness to take ownership
Problem solving mindset and solution enabler

Location

Goregaon West, Mumbai (Preference will be given to candidates residing in Mumbai’s Western suburbs).
