Job summary

Eaton Corporation Bengaluru (Karnataka) is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead hourly teams and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery using Eaton Business System tools. You will coordinate production targets with functions, coach staff, track metrics via Tier meetings, and implement continuous improvements while upholding Eaton's values and a culture of learning and teamwork.

The role may include weekend supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment is required.
• ERP and Lean experience profiled.
• Proficient in English & Kannada.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for hourly employees and drive improvements using EBS tools.
• Achieve production targets in coordination with functions.
• Coach hourly team members and address performance issues.
• Track metrics via Tier meetings and implement improvement actions.
• Ensure safety culture using MESH and empower employees to take responsibility.
• Manage manpower, time/attendance, and job assignments on the shop floor.
• Promote teamwork through Eaton CI tools and participate in CI teams.
• Communicate expectations and provide coaching and counseling as needed.
• Occasional weekend supervision may be required.

Job description

What you'll do:

This position is responsible to lead operations for hourly employees and to drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and other cost measures through use of the Eaton Business System (EBS) tools. Responsible for acheving production targets in coordination with respective functions. Coordinate with respective function to guide, develop and motivate the Shop Floor Employees.

• Champion a Safety Culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering all employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as all of everyone they work with
• Lead areas of responsibility in the use of EBS practices, including MESH, ECIS, EQS, with focus on performance of the entire value stream. Keep focus on meeting customer needs, both internal and external customer.
• Utilize the TIER Meeting process to track and analyze key operational metrics and
• implement actions to improve operational performance
• Direct day-to-day activities, including manpower movement, job assignments, time/attendance/vacation data, etc.
• Championing teamwork through the Eaton Continuous Improvement system tools to continuously improve operational performance. Participate in other CI Teams as appropriate.
• Coach employees one-on-one to address performance issues and drive operator accountability
• Establish and maintain a positive, engaged employee team sentiment through application of Eaton's Values, Ethics, and Philosophies and empowering employees to make decisions, innovate, and work in a continuous learning environment
• Train and develop hourly team members, engage support team members in problem solving efforts
• Clearly define and communicate expectations, providing positive reinforcement when met and providing coaching and counseling as necessary when not met
• Additional responsibilities as assigned including periodic weekend supervision.

Qualifications:

• B.E/B.Tech
• Atleast 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing environment
