Job summary

Amazon in Bengaluru is seeking a Production Planning professional to optimize staffing costs and develop network-wide strategies across Fulfillment Centers and other facilities. You will work with multiple teams to forecast capacity and drive data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, experience with Excel, and the ability to collaborate with FC operations, HR, finance, supply chain, transportation, and workforce planning to improve capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, Economics, analytics, or mathematics.
• Advanced level Excel (pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links).
• Strong analytical abilities and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
• Support with warehouse staffing/capacity metrics forecasting using statistical modeling to drive a collaborative decision-making process.
• Responsible for warehouse processing capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; understand data deviations and drive forward-looking opportunities
• Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams across Europe.
• Support Production planning and cost optimization initiatives.

This role requires expertise to develop network-wide strategies and drive operational excellence. Collaborate with multiple business teams including FC operations, HR, finance, supply chain, transportation, workforce staffing and others.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
• Supporting with warehouse staffing/capacity metrics forecasting using statistical modeling to drive a collaborative decision-make.
• Responsible for warehouse processing capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; focus on understanding data deviations, their root causes, and driving forward-looking opportunities
• Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and be able to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams across Europe.
• Support Production planning and cost optimization initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• - - Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, Economics, analytics, mathematics.
• - - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• - - Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data

Preferred Qualifications

• - - Experience with SQL and Excel
• - - Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment
• - - Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
• - - Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or equivalent
• - - Experience with operations/supply chain
• - - Ability to closely work with operation, finance and planning leaders to manage lead-time, capacity, and optimize the impact of labor on supply position throughout the entire supply chain
