Job summary

Different Hair in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Production Operator to perform manufacturing activities per SOPs/BMRs and production schedules, operating and monitoring extraction, pulverizing, VTD, capsule filling, and packaging equipment.

The role emphasizes GMP compliance, hygiene, safety, and quality, as well as material handling, batch records, yields, and equipment logs; teamwork with QA/QC, Warehouse, and Maintenance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing activities per SOPs, BMRs, and production schedules.
• Operate and monitor extraction, pulverizing, VTD, capsule filling, and packaging equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure timely completion of batches.
• Handle extraction, filtration, material transfer, grinding, and drying operations.
• Ensure proper material identification, segregation, traceability, and process documentation.
• Operate capsule filling and packaging equipment and perform in-process checks.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to meet production targets.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

• Perform manufacturing activities as per SOPs, BMRs, and production schedules.
• Operate and monitor extraction, pulverizing, VTD, capsule filling, and packaging equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure timely completion of batches.

2. Extraction & Processing

• Handle extraction, filtration, material transfer, grinding, and drying operations.
• Ensure proper material identification, segregation, traceability, and process documentation.

3. Capsule Filling & Packaging

• Operate capsule filling and packaging equipment and perform in-process checks.
• Handle bottle filling, labeling, sealing, coding, and cartoning as per specifications.

4. GMP, Safety & Quality

• Follow cGMP, SOPs, hygiene, safety, and contamination-control practices.
• Report deviations, equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly.

5. Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform equipment cleaning, sanitation, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment usage records and coordinate for breakdowns.

6. Material Handling & Documentation

• Handle raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Maintain batch records, material consumption, process parameters, yields, and equipment logs.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO practices.

7. Teamwork & Support

• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams.
• Support production targets, training, and continuous improvement activities.
