Qualifications

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology) degree required.
• Cosmetic manufacturing or GMP certification preferred.
• 3–7 years in cosmetic/ FMCG/ pharma manufacturing.

Job Summary

The Production Officer will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring manufacturing activities in the cosmetic production plant. The role involves ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, GMP compliance, safety standards, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Execute daily production activities as per the approved production plan.
• Supervise manufacturing of cosmetic products such as creams, lotions, gels, shampoos, face wash, oils, and personal care products.
• Ensure adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

GMP & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, hygiene, and safety requirements.
• Maintain production documentation as per regulatory requirements.
• Follow quality standards and ensure products meet specifications.
• Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions.

Quality & Process Control

• Coordinate with QA and QC departments for in-process checks and batch release activities.
• Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions to avoid deviations.
• Investigate production deviations, process issues, and customer complaints related to manufacturing.

Team Management

• Supervise operators and production workers.
• Allocate daily activities and monitor team performance.
• Conduct training on SOPs, GMP, safety practices, and manufacturing procedures.

Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate with stores for timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize process losses and wastages.
• Maintain production records and daily reports.

Required Qualification

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology)
• Additional certification in Cosmetic Manufacturing or GMP will be preferred.

Experience

• 3 to 7 years of experience in a Cosmetic, Personal Care, FMCG, Ayurvedic, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing unit.
• Experience in handling cosmetic manufacturing processes and production documentation.
