Job summary

JobItUs in Degam near Vapi, Gujarat, invites a seasoned Production Manager with 10–15 years in plastic manufacturing to lead plant operations and drive performance.

You will supervise production, stores, packing and dispatches; ensure regulatory compliance; optimize purchasing and supplier management; and mentor a team of production engineers to improve productivity, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
• Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control.
• Sound knowledge of industry-specific plastic machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the organisation complies with contractual obligations as well as local and national regulations.
• Should have handled Large size of injection moulded machines
• Develop profitable purchasing strategies
• Maintain Plant efficiency levels in terms of Productivity, quality levels and customer compliance
• Communication with relevant personnel of customers, arranging dispatches
• Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers and present them to top management
• Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
• Manage overall operation of the plant including production, labour, and workforce
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality and timely delivery
• Analyze and resolve purchasing issues/discrepancies
• Research to ensure clarity and precision of specifications
• Monitor production processes on the shop floor and lead production engineers
• Manage staff and workers of the factory
• Liaise with local government for compliance updates
• Oversee all teams - production, stores, packing, dispatches
