Job summary

Sanofi in Goa is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead planning, scheduling, and cross-functional execution at the site. You will drive New Product Introduction, ensure GMP/HSE compliance, and mentor a mid-to-senior team across manufacturing functions.

The role emphasizes process excellence, lean management, and data-driven improvements to maximise yields and minimize scrap, while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This is an on-site position in Goa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharma manufacturing (OSD).
• Bachelor's/Master of Pharmacy or master’s in science.
• Production & Operation management with KPI and budget setting, monitoring and goal achievement; lean and supply chain principles.
• Thorough knowledge of EHS requirements, cGMP and quality regulations.
• Strong track record in managing and developing medium/large scale teams.
• Experience in change management and handling unionised workforce.
• Experience with new technologies and digital tools including data analytics.
• Cross-functional experience (Quality, Opex, Engineering and Maintenance) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production to meet requirement plans from supply chain.
• Lead New Product Introduction activities at Goa and manage BOM, SAP recipes and batch scheduling.
• Train and develop staff; implement GMP/HSE systems and Zero LTI/IWLT targets.
• Drive process excellence projects to improve cycle time, yields and capacity utilization.
• Ensure cGMP systems, data integrity, BMR/BPR, logbooks and SOPs are compliant.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards per company policies.

Job description

Job Title - Production Manager

Location - Goa.

Main Responsibilities-

Planning and scheduling: Production Planning and Scheduling. Receive products requirement plan from supply chain, plan, execute, interact with cross functional departments for communicating requirement for completion of plan, allocate jobs to various job centers, monitor daily activities, plan changeovers, maintain adequate WIP levels and document for all products manufactured at Goa in order to achieve scheduled production with optimum resources.

New Product Introduction at Goa

Assist and lead in transfer process from mother plant, Initiate manufacturing activities all required activities at site, BOM preparation, SAP recipe creation, make schedule batches, make reports, seek approval from mother plant, validate manufacturing and ensure release as per plan to successfully transfer products to the Goa site. Ensure the registration of the products.

Training and development

Train and help subordinate to implement GMP/HSE systems and development of people. Ensure zero LTI/IWLT as per site KPI. Training to the executive and assistant mana er for there development.

Implement Process Excellence and Projects

Improve processes, cycle time, yields, optimum utilization of capacity in order to improve cost of goods manufactured. Periodic review of the in process parameters, stage wise yield and losses, quality parameters from APR during robust process meet. Action plan in co-ordination with other team members to improve the process quality and productivity .

cGMP Systems

Ensure that the products are manufactured and stored as per the requirements, ensure implementation of the quality system, Good documentation practice for BMR, BPR, logbooks and Log cards, ensure that the manufacturing records are evaluated by authorized personnel, maintain the department, premises and equipment, ensure validation status of the plant & ensure initial and continual training of the department personnel in order to obtain the required quality in the product. Preparation and periodic review of SOP, batch document preparation. Ensure the all employees follow the Data integrity principles and routine training on Data integrity . Ensure the adherence of GMP.

HSE

Adherence to all health safety & environmental aspects as required by company policies and procedures.

Desired Experience and Qualification
