Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Production Engineer in Vapi with 3-5 years of experience in engineering manufacturing. The role focuses on leading shift production, ensuring quality in wire drawing and conductor processes, and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Diploma/B.E./B.Tech and will drive process improvements while maintaining safety and achieving daily targets on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical engineering required.
• 3-5 years of production experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of wire drawing, stranding, and conductor production processes.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage production activities during shift for smooth operations.
• Monitor wire drawing, stranding, bunching, and annealing processes to meet quality/output targets.
• Allocate manpower, plan machine loading, ensure raw materials availability.
• Troubleshoot process or machine issues and coordinate with maintenance for repair.
• Uphold safety protocols, SOPs and quality guidelines during shift.
• Maintain shift reports/logs and communicate performance/issues to Production Manager.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores to reach daily targets and reduce downtime.
• Implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all production activities during the assigned shift to ensure smooth and continuous operations.

• Monitor conductor manufacturing processes such as wire drawing, stranding, bunching, and annealing to meet quality and output standards.
• Allocate manpower, plan machine loading, and ensure availability of raw materials for uninterrupted production.
• Troubleshoot process or machine-related issues and coordinate with maintenance for timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, SOPs, and quality guidelines throughout the shift.
• Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and communicate shift-wise performance and issues to the Production Manager.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams to achieve daily production targets and reduce downtime.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
