Job summary

Lowe’s India, the Global Capability Center based in Bengaluru, centers on technology, analytics and shared services for Lowe’s. The Production Designer will craft packaging designs for Private Brand across Home Décor, Seasonal/Hardlines and Building Materials, delivering print-ready templates to support brand messaging and strong customer experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation or diploma in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication or related design discipline, with a design portfolio.
• 2–5 years of experience in packaging design or related field.

Responsibilities

• Uphold brand positioning and guardrails across Private Brand packaging with guidance from the Packaging Design Manager/Senior Designer.
• Develop design solutions across multiple packaging types and sizes.
• Provide packaging templates to maintain timely completion of packaging solutions.
• Understand photography guidelines and art direction across brands.
• Collaborate with global production designers to ensure templates are practical for SKU production.
• Communicate with project stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Maintain quality and brand standards to drive consumer engagement.
• Present designs for review and approval.
• Develop strong working relationships with peers, project members and global teams.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to support in the development of design solutions for Lowe’s Private Brand packaging and in-store displays. The Production Designer is responsible for executing packaging designs across assigned business areas of the company inclusive of: Home Décor, Seasonal/Hardlines and Building Materials encompassing 400+ product groups.

This role is responsible for the delivery of packaging designs and templates that support brand and product messaging while providing an optimal customer experience that increases brand engagement and drives sales.

Successful candidates will possess packaging graphic design capabilities and can work globally and cross-functionally in support of high-demand volume in a fast-paced retail environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for upholding the established brand positioning and guardrails across assigned Private Brand packaging with guidance from the Packaging Design Manager and/or Senior Designer.
• Understands the private brands product categories, key competitors, and possesses the ability to develop design solutions across multiple packaging types and sizes.
• Provides packaging templates as required to maintain the timely completion of packaging solutions.
• Understands photography guidelines and photo art direction across all brands.
• Understands the packaging production process, collaborates with global production designers and ensures packaging design templates will be understandable and effective for sku production.
• Communicates consistently with project stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
• Ensures that quality and brand standards are met, and packaging solutions are provided in a way that will resonate with the consumer and facilitate the buying process.
• Presents designs to Packaging Design Manager and/or Senior Designer for review and approval.
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers, project members and global teams.

Education Qualification & Certifications

Required Minimum Qualifications :

Graduation or diploma in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication or a related design discipline, with a design portfolio.

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and technically tight, print-ready mechanicals.

Strong understanding of dyelines, prepress, Litho/Flexo and packaging production constraints.

Ability to develop toolkits, style guides, schematics, mock-ups and scalable master templates.

Ability to advise partners on production feasibility and independently resolve most artwork challenges.

Strong collaboration, prioritization, quality review and customer-focused communication skills.
