Job summary

Insolation Energy in India seeks a Print Line Cluster Owner to lead, stabilize, and optimize the screen-printing line in Topcon Solar Cell Production, covering Greenfield setup through stable mass production.

You will define recipes, supervise tool installation, monitor KPIs (yield, throughput, cost per wafer), mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma, SPC, DOE and RCA.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Electronics / Materials Engineering.
• 10–14 years’ experience in Solar Cell / Semiconductor industry with exposure to print line ownership, BOM control, and mass production.

Responsibilities

• Greenfield (New Plant / Line Setup): participate in layout planning, utility requirements, and tool selection for the print line cluster.
• Lead tool installation, commissioning, and buy-off with OEMs and project teams.
• Define and validate print recipes, screen alignment standards, paste handling protocols, and quality checks.
• Support technology transfer, benchmarking, and best practice implementation from reference fabs / suppliers.
• Running Plant (Stable Production): own print line cluster (front, rear, busbar, and multi-printing processes) and ensure stable operations with high yield and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs – print quality, paste utilization, screen life, uptime, throughput, and cost per wafer.
• Troubleshoot printing defects (misalignment, finger breaks, paste smearing/spreading, print skips) and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage BOM for silver paste, screens, squeegees, stencils, and consumables; track and optimize consumption vs standards.
• Lead cost-saving projects: paste reduction, screen life extension, improved squeegee performance, and defect reduction.
• Collaborate with SCM, Maintenance, QA, and R&D for new paste, screen, and tool trials.
• Ensure EHS compliance in paste handling, screen cleaning, and chemical usage.
• Train and mentor engineers/operators for skill development, process ownership, and quality awareness.
• Strong expertise in screen-printing technology, silver paste rheology, screen/stencil design, and squeegee performance.
• Hands‑on experience in Greenfield-to-Ramp‑up transitions.
• Familiarity with print line tool hardware, screen handling systems, paste dispensing, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving using SPC, DOE, FMEA, RCA, Six Sigma.
• Proven leadership ability to manage teams and collaborate across functions.
