Role Description The Corporate Bank is a leading provider of cash management, trade finance trust and securities services, supporting corporate and institutional clients globally. FinTech Platform and Digital Economy (FPD) is one of the key growth pillar of Merchant Solutions within Corporate Bank. The CCM/FPD Centre of Prevention and Detection (AAR CPD) is responsible for overseeing risk-based account activity reviews across the FPD client relationships. The function plays a critical role in the identification, assessment and escalation of potential financial crime, sanctions, embargo and money laundering risks, supporting Deutsche Bank' s commitment to maintaining a strong and effective control environment.

Define and execute the strategic vision for the AAR CPD function, ensuring alignment with business priorities, risk appetite and regulatory expectations. Represent the function in senior management committees and governance forums, providing clear insights on risk themes, control performance and organizational priorities. Ensure effective Account Activity Review and transaction-risk controls, including AAR alert handling, four-eye review, Merchant Screening, risk-based prioritization, investigation and escalation of sanctions, embargoes, money laundering and other financial crime concerns. Oversee portfolio-level risk activities across FPD relationships, including sales and pre-approval governance, NCA assessment, transaction-to-approved-flow mapping, adverse media review, periodic risk-review triggers, client risk assessment and tiering, FCRC/CRMF and CRN reviews, portfolio risk read-across and quality assurance. Ensure adherence to Deutsche Bank policies, KODs, Key Operating Procedures (KOPs) and regulatory requirements, driving remediation of control issues and relevant audit actions, including Merchant Screening, periodic risk reviews, client tiering, onboarding/offboarding tracking, post-implementation validation and quality assurance. Oversee delivery of a scalable and efficient operating model supported by effective capacity planning, management information and performance monitoring. Sponsor process enhancement, digitization, workflow optimization, advanced analytics and responsible AI initiatives to strengthen prevention and detection capabilities. Lead strategic change programmes and global initiatives, ensuring disciplined implementation, governance and benefit realization. As a lead, create an environment where teams are empowered to exercise sound judgement, challenge appropriately and escalation concerns without delay, while championing inclusion, collaboration and professional development across a diverse and geographically distributed workforce.
Extensive leadership experience across Financial Crime Risk Management, AML, KYC, Sanctions, Compliance, Risk or related control functions, including client lifecycle and transaction-based risk assessment. Proven management of significant operational/risk/control functions, covering governance, quality assurance, issue management and regulatory engagement. Strong track record in transformation, process simplification, automation and operating model enhancement. Strong knowledge of AML, Sanctions, Financial Crime and Corporate Banking regulatory frameworks. Strong strategic decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills, translating complex risk/regulatory issues into actionable outcomes. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Business, AFC, Compliance, Audit and Executive Management. Advanced MI, reporting and Microsoft Office skills, with fluent written and verbal English.
Corporate Cash Management (CCM), Fintech experience. Professional certifications relevant to Financial Crime Compliance, Risk Management or Audit are advantageous. Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
