Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in Mumbai seeks a Product & Transaction Analytics professional to support FinTech Client Risk Analytics within Corporate Bank. You will conduct risk reviews, analyze large data sets and ensure compliance with KODs and KOPs while collaborating with a multinational team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Prior knowledge of regulatory and/or KYC topics.
  • Banking background with AML/Financial Crime experience preferred.
  • Ability to filter large data sets and identify risk indicators.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Account Activity Reviews (AAR) and transaction-risk controls including alert handling and escalation.
  • Support portfolio-level risk activities across FPD relationships and governance processes.
  • Analyze client/account/transaction data to identify risk indicators and potential financial crime.
  • Ensure controls with Deutsche Bank policies and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Assist in remediation, risk reviews, and escalation of control issues.
  • Produce management information and risk data for monitoring the portfolio.
  • Contribute to process improvement, digitization and responsible AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate across a geographically distributed team and escalate risks appropriately.

Role Description

The Corporate Bank is a leading provider of cash management, trade finance trust and securities services, supporting corporate and institutional clients globally. FinTech Platform and Digital Economy (FPD) is one of the key growth pillar of Merchant Solutions within Corporate Bank. The CCM FPD Centre of Prevention and Detection (AAR CPD) is responsible for overseeing risk-based account activity reviews across the FPD client relationships. The function plays a critical role in the identification, assessment and escalation of potential financial crime, sanctions, embargo and money laundering risks, supporting Deutsche Bank's commitment to maintaining a strong and effective control environment.

Your key responsibilities
  • Perform Account Activity Reviews (AAR) and transaction-risk controls, including AAR alert handling, four-eye review, Merchant Screening, risk-based investigation and timely escalation of sanctions, embargoes, money laundering and other financial crime concerns.
  • Support portfolio-level risk activities across FPD relationships, including sales and pre-approval governance, NCA assessments, transaction-to-approved-flow mapping, adverse media reviews, periodic risk-review triggers, client risk assessments and tiering, FCRC/CRMF and CRN reviews, portfolio risk read-across and quality assurance.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of client, account and transaction information, filtering large volumes of data against established criteria to identify risk indicators, unusual activity, control gaps and potential financial crime concerns.
  • Execute controls and reviews in accordance with Deutsche Bank policies, KODs, Key Operating Procedures (KOPs) and applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready evidence.
  • Support remediation and ongoing control activities, including Merchant Screening, periodic risk reviews, client tiering, onboarding/offboarding tracking, post-implementation validation and quality assurance, escalating exceptions or control issues as appropriate.
  • Produce and maintain accurate management information, risk data, tracking and performance reporting, supporting effective monitoring of the FPD portfolio and AAR CPD activities.
  • Contribute to process enhancement, digitization, workflow optimization, advanced analytics and responsible AI initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prevention and detection activities.
  • Work collaboratively across a diverse and geographically distributed team, exercising sound judgement, challenging appropriately and escalating risk or control concerns without delay.
Your skills and experience
  • Relevant university degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior knowledge/experience with regulatory and/or KYC related topics
  • Prior experience in Banking, ideally with an AML / Financial Crime related background (e.g. AFC, Compliance, Audit)
  • Knowledge and awareness of Risks associated with FPD/CCM space
  • Ability to filter large volume of data & information for relevance against established criteria
  • Good research and analytical skills, combined with a good sense of risk awareness.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, diligence and the ability to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Team player with strong work ethics while able to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Capable to work and collaborate within a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Fluent communication skills in written and spoken English required.
  • Good command of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer proficiency
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
