Job summary

PolicyAdvisor.com, an exciting insurtech startup, seeks a Product Specialist to envision the product and guide it from concept to launch. You will bridge business and tech, defining roadmaps, user journeys, and PRDs while collaborating with design, engineering, and marketing teams.

You will work onsite to develop innovative consumer experiences and drive cross-functional execution, with a strong emphasis on clear stakeholder communication and market analysis.

Qualifications

• A finance graduate with 4+ Years of experience in Insurance/Banking or Finance Sector
• Previous product management experience required; Life & Health product experience is an asset
• Self-starter, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, problem-solve
• Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills able to clearly communicate with senior executives/leaders within the organization
• skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
• Technology exposure (potential) CRM, Agile, Metrics, Mock-ups, Flowcharts, Wire frames

Responsibilities

• Conceive, Design, and Develop innovative consumer experiences
• Responsible for definition, development, and predominantly focused on execution of product roadmaps
• Participate in performing on-going external competitive analysis and market segment analysis
• Should Cross-functionally guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds - Defining Product Roadmap & strategy, Metrics and communication to key stakeholders
• Writing User and Job stories, defining user journeys and personas and creating simple PRD including design mocks
• Responsible for the development and implementation of product plan, as also for capturing, documenting, and communicating throughout all stages of the product family's life cycle
• Write detailed product specs and requirements, working closely with design, marketing, engineering, and business teams
• Combine tactical roadmaps and requirements into a compelling product and be responsible to evangelize that vision within the organization
• Help determine and drive buy/build/partner solutions for components as necessary
• To collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure timely launch of the product as per the plan agreed with the channel
• Should Cross-functionally guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds - Defining Product Roadmap & strategy, Metrics and communication to key stakeholders
• Working with class A techies and brainstorming with them on product development
• Should efficiently produce the product solutions keeping in mind the following parameters: Technology, Risks, Scope, Cost, Quality, Time, Resources
• Should be great at interpersonal skills, as you will have to be a bridge and a support to tech and ops teams and coordinate better understanding and implementation of the product for the successful delivery.
