Job summary

ChapterHome is seeking a Product Sourcing Executive to build and lead the sourcing function from the ground up. The role focuses on developing kitchen storage and home organization products for the Indian e-commerce market, with a emphasis on cost efficiency and supplier collaboration.

You will work with manufacturers in China, manage end-to-end sourcing, negotiate terms, and coordinate production timelines to ensure timely shipments and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of sourcing or procurement experience.
• Hands-on experience sourcing products from China is preferred.
• Prior experience with an e-commerce, D2C, retail, or consumer products brand.
• Strong understanding of supplier negotiations, costing, MOQs, packaging, and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop kitchen storage, home organization, and utility products from manufacturers in China to India.
• Identify new suppliers through sourcing platforms, trade fairs, and existing industry networks.
• Manage the complete sourcing lifecycle from supplier identification and sample development to commercial negotiations and production.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, tooling costs, lead times, and packaging.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers on product development, packaging, quality improvements, and production timelines.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, sourcing partners, and internal teams to ensure timely shipments.
• Evaluate factories based on quality systems, manufacturing capability, pricing, and scalability.
• Benchmark competitor products and identify opportunities to launch differentiated products for the Indian e-commerce market.
• Build strong long-term relationships with suppliers while continuously driving cost and quality improvements.
