Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and either Node.js or Python.
• Experience designing APIs and microservices.
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS and telemetry-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services used across multiple digital products.
• Build and evolve platform APIs and microservices that application teams rely on.
• Design and support data planes that move telemetry and operational data to applications.
• Contribute to IoT and telemetry integration layers, including processing and exposure of data.
• Work with AWS IoT SiteWise-based solutions to abstract telemetry complexity for teams.
• Develop backend services using TypeScript and Python.
• Package and operate services using Docker containers.
• Collaborate with engineers to define data contracts and reusable platform components.
• Partner with cloud engineers on deployment practices and operations.
• Support observability, diagnostics, and monitoring for platform services and data flows.
• Identify and resolve systemic issues related to reliability and performance.
• Contribute to documentation and shared platform standards.
• Adhere to ISMS policies and procedures.

About the Role

You will work at the intersection of IoT integration and application development, partnering closely with application engineers, IoT integration engineers, and cloud engineers to design shared platform capabilities. This role emphasizes systems thinking, platform abstractions, and building reliable foundations that enable application teams to deliver features efficiently and at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services used across multiple digital products
• Build and evolve platform APIs and microservices that application teams rely on
• Design and support data planes that move telemetry and operational data from ingestion layers to applications
• Contribute to IoT and telemetry integration layers, including processing, normalization, and exposure of data
• Work with AWS IoT SiteWise-based solutions to abstract telemetry complexity for application teams
• Develop backend services using TypeScript and Python
• Build API-driven microservices that enable applications to consume platform capabilities
• Package and operate services using containerized deployments (Docker)
• Collaborate with application engineers to define data contracts, APIs, and reusable platform components
• Partner with cloud engineers on environment integration, deployment practices, and operational concerns
• Support observability, diagnostics, and monitoring for platform services and data flows
• Identify and resolve systemic issues related to platform reliability, performance, and integration
