Job summary

Solverminds Solutions & Technologies Pvt. Ltd is seeking a senior Business Analyst to collaborate with Maritime HR stakeholders and capture detailed HR ERP requirements for the MACK Marine HR module.

You will translate complex business needs into actionable system specifications, guide UAT, and support configuration, testing, and training activities across HR processes in maritime operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst with focus on HR systems or ERP implementations.
• Experience with HR ERP modules (e.g., MACK Marine HR, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, Infor HR, Microsoft Dynamics HR, etc.).
• Proven skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, system configuration, and UAT.

• Collaborate with Maritime HR stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, etc.) to understand their current processes, pain points, and future needs related to the MACK ERP module.
• Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse and translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable system specifications and user stories.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the HR module.
• System Configuration & Optimization:
• Work closely with the IT development and support teams to configure and customize the MACK ERP module to meet defined business requirements.
• Participate in system testing (UAT - User Acceptance Testing) to ensure the configured system meets business expectations and quality standards.
• Propose and implement solutions for system enhancements, integrations, and reports to optimize HR operations.
• Documentation & Training:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, user manuals, and training materials.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to HR users on new functionalities, system updates, and best practices within the MACK Marine HR ERP module.
• Support & Maintenance:
• Act as a subject matter expert for the MACK Marine HR ERP module, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to HR users.
• Assist in the resolution of system issues, working closely with IT support and vendors as needed.
• Monitor system performance and suggest improvements.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and monitoring activities related to HR ERP initiatives.
• Facilitate effective communication between HR, IT, and other relevant departments.
• Stay updated on MACK Marine ERP module updates, industry best practices, and HR technology trends.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on Human Resources systems or ERP implementations.
• Demonstrable experience working with an HR ERP module (e.g., MACK Marine HR, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, Infor HR, Microsoft Dynamics HR, etc.). Specific experience with "MACK Marine ERP" HR module is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, system configuration, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in the maritime, shipping, or a related industry is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart).
• Strong understanding of database concepts and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Domain Knowledge:
• Solid understanding of core Maritime HR processes including Seafarer Certification, Crew Planning, Crew Matrix Requisites, Payroll, Performance Management, Learning & Development, and Employee Data Management.
• Knowledge of Maritime HR statutory and regulatory compliance (e.g., local labour laws, data privacy regulations).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
