Description du poste

This is a Product Marketing-cum-Strategy role focused on shaping, strengthening, and future-proofing Simplilearn’s program portfolio across multiple domains. The Product Manager will act as the strategic owner of program constructs identifying market opportunities, envisioning new programs, defining learner value propositions, tracking product health, and ensuring programs remain relevant, competitive, differentiated, and commercially viable.

The role carries three equal mandates. First, owning the pre-sale learner experience and content, so that every page, brochure, emailer, and communication is compelling, accurate, conversion-focused, and compliant with partner brand guidelines. Second, acting as a product and marketing POC for university, aligning Simplilearn's initiatives and partner expectations. Third, performing the core duties of a Product Manager: identifying market opportunities, defining program constructs, tracking product health, and ensuring programs have the right market positioning, learner outcomes, pricing logic, delivery model, cost structure, and gross margin expectations. This is not a day-to-day GTM, delivery operations, or execution-heavy role. At the same time, this is not a curriculum-only role.

The role requires someone who values research, market intelligence, product strategy, learner experience, and business thinking in equal measure. The person should be able to understand emerging trends, identify high-potential opportunities, define strong program constructs, and ensure that existing programs continue to meet or surpass market expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the core program narrative, positioning, and learner value proposition, and translate it into simple, powerful messaging that drives enquiries, conversions, and enrollments.
  • Own the end-to-end pre-sale learner experience for assigned university programs across the website, program pages, brochures, emailers, webinars, social media, and sales enablement material.
  • Review website content, UI/UX, and communications to ensure a consistent, intuitive, and brand-appropriate experience at every pre-sale touchpoint.
  • Ensure all assets strictly follow partner university brand guidelines, approval processes, and claims policies.
  • Analyze marketing funnels and pre-sale metrics (traffic, lead quality, conversion rates, drop-offs) and recommend corrective actions to improve them.
  • Equip sales and admissions counsellors with clear program pitches, objection handling, FAQs, and competitive comparisons.
Program Strategy and Portfolio Ownership
  • Own the strategic direction of assigned programs and program constructs across domains, not limited to any single category or technology area.
  • Identify new program opportunities based on market trends, learner demand, business potential, competitive gaps, employer needs, and industry relevance.
  • Define strong program constructs, including target audience, learner problem, positioning, learning outcomes, curriculum direction, hands-on components, credentialing approach, delivery model, and career relevance.
  • Build a clear point of view on which programs should be launched, refreshed, expanded, repositioned, or sunset.
  • Ensure each program has a compelling learner value proposition, differentiated market positioning, and sound business rationale.
Market Sensing and Product Innovation
  • Continuously track emerging trends across professional learning, technology, business, leadership, digital transformation, and high-growth career domains.
  • Study competitor programs, university offerings, bootcamps, certification trends, job market signals, employer demand, and learner behavior.
  • Convert market insights into practical program ideas, product upgrades, specialization tracks, workshops, electives, or new learning formats.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities where Simplilearn can create stronger, sharper, and more market-relevant offerings.
  • Prepare product concept notes, opportunity briefs, and strategic recommendations for leadership review.
Business Viability and Gross Margin Thinking
  • Design program constructs with a clear understanding of revenue potential, pricing logic, cost structure, delivery format, and gross margin expectations.
  • Evaluate whether a proposed program can be delivered within the required commercial guardrails without compromising learner value or quality.
  • Assess the business implications of key product decisions such as live class hours, faculty model, partner involvement, tool/lab requirements, projects, mentoring, support layers, and delivery intensity.
  • Build product recommendations that balance learner outcomes, market demand, differentiation, scalability, and gross margin.
  • Ensure that new programs are not only academically or technically strong, but also commercially sustainable.
Learner Experience and Product Health
  • Maintain oversight of learner experience indicators such as NPS, CSAT, refunds, engagement, completion, escalations, and qualitative feedback.
  • Use learner experience and business metrics as early warning signals to identify programs that need strategic intervention.
  • Diagnose root causes behind poor learner experience, high refunds, weak engagement, margin pressure, or declining product-market fit.
  • Recommend corrective actions to improve program quality, learner outcomes, perceived value, commercial health, and market competitiveness.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure issues are addressed without directly owning day-to-day delivery operations.
Program Refresh and Competitive Relevance
  • Regularly evaluate existing programs to ensure they remain current, differentiated, commercially sound, and aligned with market expectations.
  • Identify when a program needs a curriculum update, positioning refresh, structural change, project upgrade, tool update, delivery model change, or stronger industry alignment.
  • Ensure programs do not become stale in fast-changing markets.
  • Benchmark Simplilearn programs against leading competitors and identify ways to match or surpass market standards.
  • Drive strategic thinking around program modernization, portfolio relevance, and long-term business value.
Product and Business Judgment
  • Evaluate whether a program construct has enough demand, clarity, differentiation, learner value, and commercial potential before recommending it for launch or scale.
  • Build business rationale for new and existing program decisions.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on learner impact, revenue potential, margin viability, strategic fit, feasibility, and urgency.
  • Bring a structured, data-backed, and market-informed approach to product decision-making.
  • Think beyond the curriculum by considering the full product construct: market need, learner promise, delivery model, economics, competitive positioning, and learner outcomes.
Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration
  • Work with partners for review and approval of content, creatives, and communications, ensuring timelines are met without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with curriculum, academic partnerships, industry experts, product leadership, marketing, sales, delivery, and operations teams at the right stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic direction and product context to teams responsible for execution.
  • Align stakeholders around the learner problem, market opportunity, product construct, commercial logic, and intended business outcome.
  • Present product insights, market findings, program recommendations, and portfolio improvement plans to senior stakeholders.
Desired Skills
  • Strong product strategy, product marketing, and business thinking
  • Ability to define sharp positioning and learner value propositions, and turn them into simple, persuasive messaging
  • Strong eye for user experience across web pages, brochures, emailers, and other pre-sale touchpoints
  • Strong stakeholder management without needing to own day-to-day operations
  • Ability to understand multiple domains and not be restricted to one category
  • Strong market research and competitive intelligence capability
  • Ability to convert market signals into program opportunities
  • Strong understanding of learner needs, professional upskilling, and career transformation
  • Strong judgment on product-market fit, differentiation, pricing logic, and commercial viability
  • Understanding of gross margin, cost structures, and business trade-offs in product design
  • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage product discovery
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret NPS, refunds, engagement, revenue, margin, and learner feedback signals
  • Ability to diagnose product problems and recommend structured interventions
  • Excellent written communication, synthesis, and presentation skills
  • Bias towards action, with a strategic and research-backed approach
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in product management, product strategy, category strategy/growth, consulting, business strategy, market research, ed-tech, learning products, or portfolio strategy
  • Experience working across multiple domains or product categories will be preferred
  • Prior exposure to education, upskilling, bootcamps, professional certification, or digital learning products will be an added advantage
  • Strong research, communication, analytical, product judgment, and business judgment skills are essential
