Job summary

JiBe is seeking a Product Manager to drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for JiBe ERP products in the shipping domain. You will translate strategy into detailed requirements, create strategy documents, and collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure successful development, QA, and releases.

Ideal candidates have a Marine or Mechanical engineering background with shipping experience, strong lifecycle experience, and proficiency in drafting PRDs and UAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering with shipping experience.
• Extensive Marine ERP product management experience.
• Proven track record across full product lifecycle.
• Ability to draft PRDs and development requirements and mock-ups.
• Ability to define UAT.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end product lifecycle for JiBe ERP products, from research to launch.
• Translate strategy into detailed requirements for prototypes and engineering.
• Create strategy documents covering business cases, use cases, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with software engineering, product marketing, and sales on development, QA, and release.
• Become an expert on designated modules and serve as knowledge source.
• Establish a shared vision and align priorities for product execution.
• Leverage user research, usability studies, and data analysis to inform requirements.
• Ensure product decisions are based on data and logic.
• Develop deep understanding of users' problems and needs.

About JiBe

JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined work flows and reducing the usage of email and paper.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for JiBe ERP products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.
• Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, and other relevant artifacts.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, product marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
• Become an expert of your designated modules and serve as a knowledge source, including best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Establish a shared vision by building alignment on priorities leading to product execution.
• Leverage user research, usability studies, market research, experiments and data analysis and translate them into requirements that solve real problems for a large set of users.
• Ensure that product decisions are based on strong logical rigor and in-depth analysis, and value data over opinions
• Expected to develop a deep understanding of our users: their problems, and their needs

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant Shipping experience.
• Strong experience in a Marine ERP product management role
• Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
• Ability to draft product requirements documents (PRDs)
• Ability to draft development requirements documents and mock-ups.
• Ability to define UAT.
• English - proficient written and verbal
