Job summary

JiBe is seeking a Product Manager (Crew) to drive the product lifecycle for JiBe ERP’s Crew Accounting modules. You will translate business needs into technical specifications, collaborate with engineering, marketing and sales, and become the go-to expert on core modules and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication, data-driven decision making, and maritime ERP experience are highly valued. You will lead requirements, roadmaps, and launches, ensuring alignment across teams and delivering

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product-related roles for B2B SaaS products
• Experience overseeing all elements of product development lifecycle
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specs and flowcharts
• Excellent communication and public speaking; ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience in UI design and wireframes preferred
• Background in software and web development desirable
• Experience in Marine ERP product management preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of product lifecycle processes for JiBe ERP products (research, market analysis, roadmap, requirements, launch)
• Translate strategy into detailed requirements for engineering prototypes and final product development
• Create strategy documents describing business cases, use cases, and technical requirements
• Collaborate with software engineering, product marketing, and sales on development, QA, and release
• Become an expert in designated modules and share best practices and regulatory knowledge
• Establish a shared vision and align priorities for product execution
• Leverage user research and data analytics to shape requirements that solve real problems

About JiBe

JiBe is a cloud based fully integrated ERP system for the shipping industry. Our goal is to allow shipping companies to improve productivity, efficiency and safety levels, while reducing costs. JiBe ERP enables increased automation and streamlining of processes, creating pre-defined workflows and reducing the usage of email and paper.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for JiBe ERP products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch

• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.

• Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, and other relevant artifacts.

• Collaborate closely with software engineering, product marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization.

• Become an expert of your designated modules and serve as a knowledge source, including best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Establish a shared vision by building alignment on priorities leading to product execution.

• Leverage user research, usability studies, market research, experiments and data analysis and translate them into requirements that solve real problems for a large set of users.

• Ensure that product decisions are based on strong logical rigor and in-depth analysis, and value data over opinions

• Expected to develop a deep understanding of our users: their problems, and their needs

Qualifications and Skills

• 4+ years of experience in product-related roles, building customer facing B2B SaaS products for Crew Accounting modules/ domain.

• Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development life cycle.

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specification documents and flow-charts

• Excellent communication and public speaking skills; ability to present complex ideas to internal & external stakeholders and to influence and inspire people

• Degree in CS, IT, Finance, Accounting, Business management or Marine Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Maritime industry

• Previous experience working or managing in crew accounting department

• Previous software and web development experience

• Previous experience in a Marine ERP product management role

• Previous experience in designing UI and preparing mockups and wireframes
