The Product Manager – ConnectedVehicle & Digital Platforms will own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle ofthe instrument cluster, vehicle-to-cloud (IoT) backend, mobileapplication, and internal dashboards, ensuring a cohesive, reliable, and scalable user experience across riders, service teams, factory operations, and business stakeholders.
This role bridges hardware, embedded software, cloud, mobile apps, UX, service operations, and GTM, translating real‑world EV usecases into crisp product requirements and executable roadmaps.
2. Product Scope
- VehicleTelemetry & IoT Platform (Cloud ingestion, APIs, analytics)
- OTAUpdates (Cluster, ECUs, firmware, configs)
3. Responsibilities by Product Lifecycle Phase
3.1 Product Discovery & Vision
- Defineproduct vision for Ultraviolette’s connected vehicle ecosystem alignedwith brand positioning (performance-driven, aviation-inspired, premiumEV).
- Identifyrider, service, factory, and business pain points through field data, service feedback, and ride analytics.
- ConvertIoT telemetry possibilities into meaningful rider features (rangeconfidence, performance insights, safety alerts).
- Ownlong-term roadmap for cluster, app, and backend platforms.
3.2 Requirements & User Stories
- Create clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria for:
- Explicitlycapture edge cases:
- Vehiclepower cycles mid-operation
- MaintainProduct Requirement Documents (PRDs) and epics across multiple teams.
- Actas a single source of truth for product behavior.
3.3 UX & Experience Ownership
- Workwith design teams to validate flows using real riding and servicescenarios.
- Ensurecluster and app behavior remains intuitive under degraded conditions.
- Definetelemetry schemas (what data, frequency, priority).
- OwnAPI contracts between vehicle, cloud, and apps.
- Prioritizescalability, security, and data integrity.
- Defineanalytics requirements for:
- Warrantyand failure prediction
3.5 OTA & Software Lifecycle Management
- OwnOTA strategy across cluster and ECUs:
- Rollbackand recovery strategies
- Region-specificreleases
- Definerelease trains and update eligibility rules.
- Coordinatestaged roll outs and monitor post-OTA health metrics.
- EnsureOTA flows align with service and also comply with homologation constraints.
3.6 Factory & Manufacturing Collaboration
- Definefactory software workflows:
- Vehicleprovisioning
- VINbinding
- Softwareflashing and validation
- Ensuretraceability of software versions to vehicle batches.
- Supportfactory dashboards for diagnostics and audit readiness.
- Collaboratewith manufacturing teams to minimize line disruptions due to software.
- Partnerwith service teams to define:
- Errorcode interpretation
- Logaccess and tooling
- Translateservice pain points into backlog items.
