Job summary

Hero FinCorp is seeking a Product Manager to own the UPI product end-to-end, from strategy to regulatory compliance. You will define the vision, roadmap, and feature lifecycle while partnering with engineering, design, QA, analytics and business teams to deliver high-quality releases.

In this role, you will drive customer acquisition, activation, and transaction growth, while ensuring NPCI and RBI compliance and governance. A strong background in fintech and digital payments is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Finance, Product Management or related discipline.
• 5–8+ years in Product Management within Fintech, Digital Payments, UPI, Banking, Wallets or Consumer Internet.
• Strong expertise in product strategy, roadmaps, and analytics to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UPI roadmap and feature lifecycle.
• Define product vision, quarterly roadmap, and prioritize backlog.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, QA, Analytics and Business teams to deliver releases.

Job description

Will be responsible for owning and managing Hero FinCorp's UPI product end-to-end from a product management perspective, including product strategy, roadmap planning, feature development, customer experience, merchant acquiring, engagement, rewards, analytics, ecosystem integrations, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will define and execute the product vision while working closely with internal and external stakeholders. The role will drive customer acquisition, activation, transaction growth, merchant adoption, retention, and product innovation while ensuring compliance with NPCI guidelines, RBI regulations, and internal governance.

• Own the end-to-end UPI product strategy, roadmap, and feature lifecycle aligned with business goals and customer needs.
• Identify new payment use cases and product opportunities to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and transaction growth.
• Define product requirements, user stories, and release plans while prioritizing the product backlog.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, QA, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver high-quality product releases.
• Continuously enhance app performance, reliability, customer experience, and competitiveness through data-driven product improvements.

Eligibility Criteria for the Job

• Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Finance, Product Management or related discipline
• Work Experience: 5 - 8+ years in Product Management within Fintech, Digital Payments, UPI, Banking, Wallets, Cards or Consumer Internet.

• Drive merchant onboarding, QR acceptance, merchant payment journeys and acquiring use cases.

Customer Experience

• Optimize UI/UX, onboarding, payment success and app ratings.

Rewards & Engagement

• Design cashback, loyalty, referral, gamification and engagement programs.

Analytics

• Track MAU, DAU, registrations, activation, GMV, success rates, retention, feature adoption and funnel metrics.

Compliance

• Ensure NPCI/RBI compliance, fraud controls, audits and regulatory implementations.

Partner Management

• Coordinate with NPCI, PSP Banks, SDK partners, merchants, technology vendors and internal stakeholders.

Operations

• Own production monitoring, incident management, RCA and continuous improvement.
