Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Product Information Management (PIM) Consultant with expertise in Salsify and/or Akeneo to design, implement, and optimize enterprise PIM solutions across digital commerce channels. The role focuses on enabling accurate, enriched product data governance and distribution to marketplaces, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

• Experience with Salsify or Akeneo PIM platforms.

• Experience with SQL and data transformation processes.
• Familiar with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement PIM solutions using Salsify and/or Akeneo.
• Gather and analyze business requirements for product data onboarding, enrichment, governance, and syndication.
• Define product data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, classifications, and attribute structures.
• Configure workflows, validation rules, approval processes, and data quality controls.
• Manage product catalog onboarding, enrichment, and lifecycle processes.
• Establish product content governance and stewardship processes.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product information across channels.
• Define and implement product data quality frameworks and KPIs.
• Integrate PIM platforms with ERP, eCommerce, OMS, CRM, DAM, and MDM systems.
• Develop and support REST APIs and middleware integrations.
• Work with ETL processes for data migration and synchronization.
• Support syndication of content to marketplaces and retailer portals.
• Improve product content workflows and operational efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
• Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support.
• Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and new features.

The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, eCommerce teams, digital experience teams, and system architects to ensure consistent, high-quality product data across the organization.

• PIM Solution Implementation: Design, configure, and implement Product Information Management solutions using Salsify and/or Akeneo.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in Salsify and/or Akeneo PIM platforms.
• Hands-on experience in Product Information Management concepts and best practices.
• Experience designing product catalog structures and classification models.
• Knowledge of product data governance and data quality management.
• Experience with API integrations and data synchronization.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce ecosystems and product content management.
• Experience with SQL and data transformation processes.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and integration frameworks.

Additional Responsibility

• Preferred Technical Skills: Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms.
• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Knowledge of marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Magento, Adobe Commerce, or BigCommerce.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or middleware technologies.
• Cloud platform exposure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Domain Expertise: Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following: Digital Commerce; Retail; Consumer Goods; Manufacturing; Distribution; B2B Commerce; Product Content Management.
