A leading automotive technology company in Bengaluru is seeking a Global Research & Innovation Software Leader to drive software development for automotive lighting. The ideal candidate should have over 15 years of experience in embedded software applications, particularly within the automotive sector. You will work closely with various teams, ensuring high-quality standards and effective communication. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and automotive quality standards is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 15+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong experience with AUTOSAR architecture is a plus.
• Good logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

GLOBAL RESEARCH & INNOVATION SOFTWARE LEADER -

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Propose technical concepts, global architecture for several automotive lighting projects
• Propose associated quotation to the SW Technical Leader / Scrum Master (depending on Agile or not)
• Deliver to the development team or Platform team your concepts, and review the associated specification.
• Ensure SW Quality and design document fulfilment
• Contributes to HSI definition
• Raise blocking points to PM or local manager
• Understand system functionalities and related software requirements linked to the products
• Develop C code according to SW requirements
• Develop and integrate software components on standard or internal platforms
• Develop SW according to high quality standards with knowledge about safety, cybersecurity, A‑Spice.
• Contributes to appropriate procedures and documentation and capitalizes knowledge

REQUIREMENTS

• University Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong experience in development and architecture of embedded software applications preferably for automotive.
• Excellent programming skills in C and good scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C# etc.).
• Experience with different microcontroller architectures and communication buses.
• Experience with MBD development for embedded targets (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Familiar with agile as well as traditional development methodologies (SCRUM, V-Model).
• Master automotive quality and safety standards (Automotive SPICE, ISO26262).
• Good logical reasoning and problem investigation/resolution.
• Knowledge on requirements management (DOORS, Codebeamer).
• Good understanding of the functional safety.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GITLAB, GitHUb, Jenkins….
• Knowledge and experience on Vector Tools (CANape, CANoe, Canalyzer).
• Good capacity of listening and communication skills.
• Team spirit and able to work autonomously.
• At least 15+ years of experience in development and integration embedded software applications preferably for automotive
