Job summary

63 moons Technologies is seeking a Product Designer to own end-to-end design for a derivatives trading platform, from research and flows to high-fidelity interface design, prototypes, and design-system contributions with engineering and product teams.

You will craft dense trading screens, onboarding/KYC flows, and responsive experiences for web and mobile, while upholding accessibility standards and dark mode as defaults.

Role & responsibilities

Product Designer

Design the product experience for a derivatives trading platform - dense, real-time, high-stakes interfaces where a confusing screen costs users money. You'll own design end to end: research, flows, interface design, prototypes, and the design system, working directly with engineering and product.

What You'll Do

• Own product design end to end - from problem framing and user flows through high-fidelity interface design and handoff
• Design complex, information-dense interfaces: trading screens, order entry, positions and margin views, charting layouts, funding and settlement history
• Design onboarding and KYC flows that stay clear and compliant while minimising drop-off
• Build and maintain the design system in Figma - components, variants, tokens, and documentation - so engineering ships consistently without re-litigating spacing
• Design responsive web and native mobile experiences (iOS and Android), respecting platform conventions
• Create interactive prototypes to test flows before they reach engineering
• Run lightweight user research and usability testing; turn findings into concrete design changes
• Partner with frontend engineers on implementation quality, states, motion, and edge cases - empty, loading, error, partial-fill, liquidation
• Contribute to product thinking, not just execution - push back on requirements when the flow doesn't hold up
• Uphold accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA as the baseline) and design for dark mode as a first-class theme

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of product design experience with a portfolio of shipped digital products (portfolio required)
• Expert-level Figma: auto layout, variables, components and variants, prototyping, and multi-contributor file hygiene
• Demonstrated ability to design data-dense, complex interfaces - not just marketing pages or simple CRUD apps
• Strong grasp of interaction design, visual hierarchy, typography, and layout systems
• Experience building or substantially maintaining a design system
• Comfortable designing for both web and mobile
• Able to work from ambiguous problem statements and drive clarity independently.
• Strong communication - can explain and defend design decisions to engineers and stakeholders
• Working understanding of frontend constraints - you know what's cheap to build and what isn't

Preferred candidate profile

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for fintech, trading, brokerage, banking, or crypto products
• Familiarity with trading concepts and charting conventions (TradingView, candlesticks, order books, depth charts)
• Motion design and micro-interaction work (Figma prototyping, Rive, Lottie, or After Effects)
• Experience with user research programmes and analytics-informed design
• Basic HTML/CSS literacy, or experience contributing tokens directly to a codebase
