Job summary

Brigade Group is seeking a Product Designer to support furniture and interior product development across modular kitchens, wardrobes, and decor. You will prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation, while coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely execution.

The role involves prototype development support, material and hardware selection, and maintaining comprehensive development records to enable successful product launches.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in modular furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, or interior products.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, or related field.
• Understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts based on design briefs and business needs.
• Create 2D drawings, basic 3D models, BOMs, cut lists, and technical docs.
• Assist in prototype development, testing, and product improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and installation teams.
• Support material, hardware, and accessory selection.
• Maintain product specs, datasheets, and development records.
• Follow design, quality, ergonomic, and manufacturing standards.

Role Summary

The Product Designer will support the design, engineering, and development of furniture and interior products across modular kitchens, wardrobes, loose furniture, dcor, and home improvement categories. The role is responsible for creating technical documentation, assisting in prototype development, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely execution of product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of new product concepts based on design briefs and business requirements.
• Prepare 2D drawings, basic 3D models, BOMs, cut lists, and technical documentation.
• Assist in prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvement activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and installation teams during product development.
• Support material, hardware, and accessory selection based on design and cost requirements.
• Maintain product specifications, technical datasheets, and development records.
• Follow established design, quality, ergonomic, and manufacturing standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for samples, technical information, and product development inputs.
• Conduct product benchmarking and market research to identify design and feature opportunities.
• Assist in resolving technical issues identified during production or installation.
• Support product launch readiness by ensuring documentation and specifications are complete and accurate.
• Track product development timelines and ensure action closure across stakeholders.

• Exposure to product development processes and technical documentation.
• Understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and hardware systems.
• Experience in residential interiors or modular furniture industry will be an added advantage.
