Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Product Design Engineer in Pune to specialize in mobile and modular generator design. You will provide detailed design drawing support and produce models, while working within the mechanical team to meet internal and international standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical.
• 5+ years of experience resolving issues and optimizing commercial use of technologies/components.
• Experience in designing processes in complex engineering equipment development and heavy/medium engineering environments.
• Proficient in CAD systems, specifically Creo and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of PLM, MRP, ECN, international standards, component selection, NPD.
• Attention to detail, high technical integrity, and responsibility for cost, quality, and timescale targets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, organize work, and meet deadlines while balancing quality, reliability, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Design product modifications and produce conceptual layouts and manufacturing drawings on in-house generator products, including CAD drawings and 3D models.
• Model conceptual layouts of complex and compact packaged mobile, modular generator arrangements (engine mounting, cooling system, fabrications, pipework, control panels, and enclosures).
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials and part specifications for efficient supply and assembly of Aggreko manufactured products.
• Detailed modelling of all mechanical elements of design conforming to internal and external design standards.
• Ensure drawings and construction of technical design files meet design deliverables and document management systems.
• Source new components suitable for proposed applications, considering technical limitations and cost, and modify designs accordingly.
• Provide technical support for the product during manufacture and field operations.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Product Design Engineer. In this role, you will be a specialist mobile and modular generator design engineer, part of a team focusing on diesel powered products.

As part of a specialist mobile and modular generator design team focusing on diesel powered products you will be the experienced Product Design Engineer. Providing detailed design drawing support to innovative designs you will be responsible, working within the mechanical team to produce the models to internal and international standards.

What you'll do:

• Design product modifications and produce the conceptual layouts and the manufacturing drawings on in-house developed generator products, including CAD drawings and 3D models.
• Model conceptual layouts of complex and compact packaged mobile, modular generator arrangements (engine mounting, cooling system, fabrications, pipework, control panels, and enclosures).
• Create and maintain accurate Bill of Material and part specifications for efficient supply and assembly of Aggreko manufactured products.
