SIEMENS ENERGY INDIA LIMITED is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Mobility Services team in India. You will own end-to-end procurement for Events, Fleet, Gifting and Marcom, partnering with the MS category lead to balance strategy, suppliers and governance.

The role requires reading market dynamics, strong negotiation, supplier network building and rigorous compliance, with a focus on cost savings, value creation and digitization in a fast-growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing in corporate settings.
• Hands-on experience with RFPs, sourcing, negotiations and contract management.
• Knowledge of supply markets for events, transport, gifting and marcom activities.
• Familiarity with spend workflows and ERP systems is preferred.
• Ssolid understanding of governance and compliance in procurement.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a commercially sharp, street-smart procurement professional to strengthen the Mobility Services (MS) team as a second dedicated category owner. The MS portfolio has grown rapidly and now spans Events, Employee Transport, Gifting, Marketing Communications (Marcom), Travel and Fleet, with further scope additions in the pipeline.

This role takes end-to-end ownership of Events, Fleet, Gifting and Marcom — partnering with the existing MS category lead to balance and scale the function across strategy, suppliers, digital and governance.

We need someone who reads the market instinctively, negotiates hard, builds a strong on-ground supplier network and gets deals closed — while keeping category strategy, governance and digitization tight. In short: equal parts strategist and dealmaker.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the Mobility Services (MS) team and partner closely with the MS Lead in managing a fast-growing portfolio across Travel, Events, Gifting, and Fleet. The portfolio has expanded significantly over recent years, with further scope additions in the pipeline.

The role is responsible for driving category and supplier strategies, executing sourcing activities, managing supplier performance, and ensuring strong compliance and governance across the assigned categories. The Specialist will work in close collaboration with senior procurement leaders, business stakeholders, and global shared services.

Key Responsibilities

Category & Supplier Strategy

• Own category and supplier strategies for Events, Employee Transport, Gifting and Marcom, in close collaboration with senior procurement leaders and business stakeholders.
• Build deep, ground-level market intelligence — rate benchmarks, new and alternate vendors, emerging service and pricing models — and translate it into commercial advantage.
• Drive year-on-year cost improvement and value creation across the assigned scope, without compromising service quality, timelines or compliance.
• Run the full sourcing cycle — RFP/RFQ, e-auctions, commercial comparisons, negotiations, contract finalization, frame agreement renewals and onboarding of new vendors.
• Negotiate hard and smart on rate cards and commercial terms across event agencies, transport operators, gifting and merchandise vendors, creative/marcom and print/media partners.
• Manage supplier performance on SLAs, turnaround times, service quality, availability and escalations — and act quickly to protect the business when a supplier slips.
• Maintain approved supplier lists in line with category strategy, keeping a healthy, competitive and de-risked vendor base.

Digital & Analytics

• Drive digitization and process automation within the assigned categories — adoption of digital sourcing tools, supplier portals and analytics dashboards to improve efficiency, data quality and decision-making.
• Prepare periodic MIS and category reporting covering spend, savings, supplier performance and KPIs, with a clear, decision-ready view for leadership.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure Source-to-Pay (S2P) compliance with procurement policies, delegation of authority and governance standards across all assigned categories.
• Coordinate with Global Business Services (GBS) on goods receipt, payment operations, vendor query resolution and supplier-name reconciliation.
• Champion clean, audit-ready documentation and process discipline across the portfolio.

Stakeholder & Sustainability

• Partner closely with internal stakeholders — Admin, HR, Marketing/Marcom, Facilities, Finance and Business Teams — to deliver category requirements cost-effectively and on time.
• Support sustainability initiatives across categories — Scope 3 on Employee Transport and Travel, EV transition, green/sustainable events and responsible gifting.

What you bring:

• 5–7 years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, preferably across Events, Employee Transport, Gifting, Marcom or other indirect / marketing-services spend.
• Hands-on track record executing RFPs, commercial comparisons, supplier negotiations and contract management in a structured corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of the relevant supply markets — event and MICE agencies, corporate transport and mobility operators, gifting/promotional-merchandise vendors, and creative, print, media and marcom partners.
• Familiarity with corporate spend workflows — event and offsite planning, employee transport operations (managed/nodal/spot), gifting programs and marketing-communications procurement — is preferred.
• Experience with procurement / ERP systems such as SAP, Concur or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong MS Office skills — advanced Excel for analysis, tracking and reporting, and PowerPoint for leadership presentations.
• Ability to drive change — standardization, continuous improvement and best-practice adoption within the procurement function.
