Job summary

Kisan Circle is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing of agricultural products from farmers, producers, and suppliers in Nashik, Maharashtra. This on-site, full-time role involves supplier evaluation, price negotiations, and coordination with logistics to ensure timely deliveries.

You will build a supplier network, analyze market trends, and support export activities. Travel across local markets may be required to source and verify products.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, agricultural trading, sourcing, or related field.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of agricultural products and local markets.
• Ability to identify reliable suppliers and compare offers.
• Willingness to travel locally for supplier visits and market research.
• Knowledge of Hindi and Marathi is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reliable suppliers of agricultural products.
• Source fruits, vegetables, commodities and processed products.
• Communicate with farmers, traders, processors, wholesalers and manufacturers to understand availability.
• Collect and compare supplier quotations, product specs, quality parameters and terms.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quantities and delivery schedules.
• Verify product quality, quantity, packaging and specs before procurement.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability and dispatch of products.
• Maintain updated database of suppliers, products, prices and market availability.
• Track seasonal availability and price changes in agricultural commodities.
• Conduct supplier research and build long-term relationships.
• Support export team with sourcing, quotations and buyer requirements.
• Coordinate with logistics and internal teams for procurement and delivery.
• Visit markets, farms, processing units, warehouses when required.
• Identify new procurement opportunities and alternate suppliers.

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage the sourcing and procurement of agricultural products from reliable farmers, producers, processors, aggregators and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Ability to identify reliable suppliers and compare commercial offers.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic documentation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple supplier interactions.
• Willingness to travel locally for supplier visits and market research.
• Strong relationship-building and follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of Hindi and Marathi will be an advantage.
