Job summary

Honasa Consumer Ltd. is seeking a senior procurement leader in India to manage end-to-end fill-rate and supplier performance for ~40 third-party manufacturers. You will drive OOS risk mitigation and lead process digitization using AI/automation to streamline procurement workflows.

The role requires extensive experience in procurement, SAP, and dashboards (Power BI/MS Excel) with strong stakeholder management across finance, operations and auditors. MBA in SCM is an added advantage.

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement/planning with exposure to third-party/contract manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA in SCM an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Own weekly, fortnightly and monthly fill-rate tracking across ~40 third-party manufacturers; drive corrective action on shortfalls.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk of OOS through early-warning tracking and escalation.
  • Lead continuous improvement of procurement SOPs and process controls; digitize workflows with AI interventions.
  • Manage relationships across internal teams and the third-party manufacturer ecosystem; be a key contact for escalations.
  • Communicate with auditors; ensure regulatory compliance and track actions.
  • Own and improve dashboards for fill rate, compliance, cost and vendor performance.
  • Manage execution team for Finished Goods procurement; ensure timely PO issuance and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Forecasting, Demand Planning and Supply Planning to translate plans into outputs; work with Warehouse to smooth inbound deliveries.
  • Drive cost-savings initiatives and risk mitigation across the vendor portfolio.
  • Partner with Finance on provisioning, budgeting and vendor reconciliation; support P2P process.

Job description

1. Fill Rate & Supply Continuity Management
  • Own weekly, fortnightly and monthly incoming fill-rate tracking across ~40 third-party manufacturers; drive corrective action on shortfalls.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risk of Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations through early-warning tracking and escalation.
2. Process Improvement & Digitization
  • Lead continuous improvement of procurement SOPs and process controls.
  • Identify and implement AI/automation interventions to digitize procurement workflows and reduce manual effort.
3. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management
  • Manage relationships across internal cross-functional teams and the third-party manufacturer ecosystem.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for escalations and issue resolution with third-party partners.
4. Compliance & Audit Management
  • Manage communication with internal and external auditors; ensure ongoing regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with external auditors on annual audits of third-party manufacturers and track closure of compliance actions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement master data and ensure integrity of KPI reporting.
  • Own and continuously improve dashboards for fill rate, compliance, cost and vendor performance visibility.
6. Team & Execution Management
  • Manage and mentor the execution team responsible for Finished Goods (FG) procurement.
  • Ensure timely execution of purchase orders and resolution of day-to-day procurement issues.
  • Work closely with Forecasting, Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams to translate plans into procurement outputs.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse team to ensure smooth inbound deliveries and reduce receiving bottlenecks.
  • Actively contribute to the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) processes, representing procurement's supply and capacity inputs.
8. Cost Savings & Risk Mitigation
  • Drive cost-savings initiatives across the third-party manufacturing portfolio.
  • Identify supply chain risks and lead mitigation projects to safeguard business continuity.
9. Finance Collaboration
  • Partner with Finance on provisioning, budgeting and vendor reconciliation.
  • Support and strengthen the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process in coordination with Finance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement/planning, with substantial exposure to third-party / contract manufacturing, preferably in FMCG, BPC or allied consumer goods industries.
  • Professional bachelor’s degree; MBA in Supply Chain Management (SCM) an added advantage.
  • Proven experience managing teams and senior cross-functional stakeholders (planning, finance, warehouse, quality); prior experience as a deputy/second-in-command to a function head, and/or exposure to S&OP/S&OE processes, is a plus.
  • Strong exposure to procurement audits, vendor compliance frameworks and P2P processes, including direct interface with statutory/external auditors.
  • Strong analytical ability with hands-on comfort in dashboards, KPI tracking and master data management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); demonstrated ability to drive AI/automation adoption for process digitization.
  • Senior-level stakeholder management — internal leadership, third-party manufacturers, and internal/external auditors.
  • Structured problem-solving mindset with a bias for process improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Sound understanding of budgeting, provisioning and vendor reconciliation from a procurement lens.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the function/GM in cross-functional and audit forums.
Key Performance Indicators (Indicative)
  • Incoming fill rate % (weekly / fortnightly / monthly) and OOS incidence.
  • Audit closure TAT and compliance score across third-party manufacturers.
  • Cost savings delivered against annual target.
  • Dashboard/KPI data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process automation / digitization initiatives implemented.
