Job summary

Wilhelmsen group in Mumbai is seeking a Procurement Lead to oversee day-to-day procurement for a global maritime fleet. You will lead a team of Procurement Officers, ensure transactions meet SLAs, and coordinate with Vessel Managers, Technical teams, suppliers, and logistics providers to deliver timely goods and services.

The role requires 3–5 years of maritime procurement experience, knowledge of marine procurement logistics, and experience with BASSnet or similar systems.

PROCUREMENT LEAD (MUMBAI)

Lead operational procurement activities for a global maritime fleet while supporting the Procurement Manager in delivering service excellence, cost efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction. Asa ProcurementLead, you will oversee a team of Procurement Officers, ensuring procurement processes are executed in line with agreed service levels, governance requirements, and operational priorities.

Working closely with Vessel Managers, Technical teams, suppliers, andlogisticspartners, you will ensure thetimelydelivery of goods and services, drive continuous improvement initiatives,monitorteam performance, and support sourcing and supplier management activities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ProcurementLeadto support fleet operations by leading day-to-day procurement activities, managing team performance, and ensuring operational deliverables are achieved.

What We Are Looking For

• 3-5 years of maritime procurement experience with procurement,logistics, or supervisory exposure
• Shipping or sailing experience
• Degree, Diploma, FE Qualification, or CIPS qualification
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Good understanding of marine procurement,logistics, and supplier management
• Experience withBASSnetor similar procurement systems
