Siemens India is seeking a Procurement Buyer with 1-2 years of experience to handle PO creation and end-to-end Procure-to-Pay in our Mumbai/Nashik operations. The role requires SAP MM proficiency, understanding of import procedures, and inventory control.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and ensure compliance with customs, taxation, and statutory requirements. This position starts in Mumbai for two months before shifting to Nashik.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of procurement/buyer experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in SAP MM (Materials Management).
• Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Knowledge of import procedures, customs, taxation, and related compliance.
• Inventory control and warehouse management knowledge.

• Create Purchase Orders (POs) and manage local/import POs.
• Execute Procure-to-Pay as per procedures.

• Perform procurement and buyer activities, including Purchase Order (PO) creation.
• Execute Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes in accordance with organizational procedures.
• Manage local and import purchase orders, ensuring compliance with customs requirements, taxation, and other statutory requirements.
• Support inventory control and warehouse management activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy and accountability.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Procurement, specifically in buyer activities and Purchase Order creation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) module.
• Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Knowledge of import procedures, customs requirements, taxation, and statutory requirements related to import and local purchase orders.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management.
• Basic technical knowledge of electrical equipment, switchboards, and protection relays.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing, production lines, and workstation operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Must have exp with Electrical components procurement like Transformers (CTs), Potential Transformers (PTs), bushings, switchgear, and protection relays etc
