Job summary

Worley is seeking a senior Process Engineer Level II for Chennai, India. The role involves delivering end-to-end process engineering for offshore/onshore/refinery projects, including design, sizing, simulations, and equipment specifications.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines to meet safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience, strong software skills (PFDs, P&IDs, HYSYS, HTRI, PIPENET), and relevant engineering degrees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in process design offshore / onshore / refinery projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Developing skills in design software.
• Competent use of MS Office Suite.
• A recognized degree in the Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• A recognized degree in the relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide Process Engineering services to Worley and its customers; may provide technical support within the Process team.
• Conduct process design calculations, simulations, and modelling using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Perform process equipment sizing, hydraulic and heat exchanger design, and pressure relief calculations.
• Evaluate and optimize process design alternatives to ensure safety and industry standards compliance.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process design with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation designs.

The Role

As a Process Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc

• You will provide Process Engineering services to Worley, and its customers and may provide technical support within the Process team.
• Conduct process design calculations, simulations, and modelling using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Perform process equipment sizing, hydraulic and heat exchanger design, and pressure relief calculations.
• Evaluate and optimize process design alternatives to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process design with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation designs.
• Participate in project meetings, reviews, and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Experience in PIPENET Transient Analysis, HTRI and HYSYS simulation.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Process design offshore / Onshore / Refinery projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Developing skills in design software.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• A recognized Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• A recognized Degree in the Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
