Job summary

Worley is seeking a Process Engineer Level I to join our process team in Bengaluru. You will work with our experienced engineers to deliver offshore and onshore refinery projects, developing PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications while strengthening your design skills.

The role emphasizes process design calculations, simulations, and collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams, plus mentoring junior engineers and contributing to safe, efficient project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or chemical engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in process design for offshore/onshore/refinery projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Developing skills in design software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform process design calculations, simulations, and modelling using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Size process equipment, hydraulic and heat exchanger design, and pressure relief calculations.
• Evaluate design options for safety and efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

Purpose :

You will provide Process Engineering services to Worley, and its customers and may provide technical support within the Process team.

The Role

As a Process Engineer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Conduct process design calculations, simulations, and modelling using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Perform process equipment sizing, hydraulic and heat exchanger design, and pressure relief calculations.
• Evaluate and optimize process design alternatives to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process design with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation designs.
• Participate in project meetings, reviews, and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• A recognized Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• A recognized Degree in the Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in Process design offshore / Onshore / Refinery projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Developing skills in design software.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
