Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Process Engineer for Pick & Place programming and ESD to join a fast-growing electronics manufacturing team. This full-time role focuses on optimizing SMT processes, MES integration, and enforcing ESD standards across multiple lines.

You will work on NPI, engineering changes, and root-cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why and RCCA, collaborating with global Bosch entities.

Qualifications

• B.E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Mechatronics.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive electronics manufacturing.
• Pick & Place process & programming expertise and ESD knowledge.
• Knowledge of SMT components, package characteristics, and feeder/nozzle selection.
• MES & manufacturing process understanding and IPC standards familiarity.
• ESD control (ANSI/ESD S20.20) and IATF 16949/ISO 9001 awareness.
• Knowledge on Digitalization & Industry 4.0.

Responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing process compliance with legal, safety, Bosch standards and process specs.
• Drive Pick & Place programming expertise, NC data generation, and machine setup/troubleshooting.
• Lead NPI and engineering changes through layout updates and depopulation activities.
• Optimize product allocation across SMT lines based on feasibility and requirements.
• Integrate machines with MES for production control and traceability.
• Conduct root-cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, RCCA.
• Collaborate across plants with global Bosch entities as CN representative.
• Drive ESD compliance via audits, measurements, reviews, and corrective actions.

Process Engineer for Pick & Place Programing and ESD

Ensure manufacturing process compliance with legal & safety requirements, engineering principles, customer requirements, Bosch standards and process specifications.

Expertise in Pick & Place programming, NC data generation, DGS/SIPLACE software, machine setup, and troubleshooting

NPI & Engineering Changes: Implement new products and engineering changes through layout updates, supplier changes, depopulation activities, and placement/polarity validation.

Optimize product allocation across SMT lines based on technical feasibility and customer requirements.

Machine & MES Integration: Ensure machine integration with MES for seamless production control and full traceability.

Problem Solving: Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and RCCA.

Cross-Plant Collaboration: Drive knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange with global Bosch entities as a CN representative

Drive ESD compliance through regular audits, measurements, report reviews, and corrective action implementation across manufacturing operations

Establish ESD standards for machines, materials, and fixtures while training teams on ESD controls, measurement methods, and best practi
