Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Investment professional to be part of our Private Equity business at Neo Asset Management. An ideal candidate should have a strong track record in Investment Banking/Private equity/sell side research, exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills, investment mindset and the ability to manage and grow a portfolio of investments. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the investment process, evaluating opportunities to executing transactions (including legal documentation) and supporting portfolio management activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Investment Strategy and Execution
  • Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the firms objectives.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Help in due diligence efforts, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.
• Portfolio Management
  • Oversee the performance and strategic direction of portfolio companies.
  • Work closely with management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to investors.
• Fundraising and Investor Relations
  • Help in fundraising efforts, including the preparation of marketing materials and presentations.
  • Help in analysis of fund performance.
• Leadership and Team Management
  • Manage and mentor a team of investment professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

Knowledge, Competency and Skills requirement

• In-depth understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and industry trends with good knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial structuring.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Private Equity sector.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on investment opportunities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and value creation.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg).
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective negotiation and deal-making skills with a focus on achieving favourable outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.

Academic Qualification and Experience

• Bachelors in Engineering from IIT or CA followed by MBA from IIMs or ISB8-10 years of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, sell side/buy side Research or related fields.
• Proven track record of successful investments and value creation.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
