Job summary

Univision Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd (UTS) is seeking an experienced PCB design engineer to join our hardware team in Chennai. You will design high-speed, multi-layer PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro and contribute to floor planning, placement, and routing for complex products.

The role focuses on impedance-controlled routing for interfaces like DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SATA, and HDMI, ensuring IPC and EMC/ EMI compliance while coordinating with mechanical, SI/PI, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PCB design experience.
• Strong Cadence Allegro expertise.
• Hands-on Altium knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with multilayer PCBs (8+ to 24+ layers).
• Knowledge of SI/PI concepts.
• Experience with DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SATA, HDMI, and high-speed differential routing.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and PCB fabrication/assembly processes.
• Ability to generate Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581 and manufacturing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-speed multilayer PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro.

Develop and maintain PCB stack-ups based on signal integrity and manufacturing requirements. Generate and review fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation. Conduct design rule checks (DRC), layout verification, and design reviews. Ensure compliance with IPC standards, EMC/EMI requirements, and design guidelines.

Required Skills

6+ years of PCB design experience. Strong expertise in Cadence Allegro. Knowledge and hands on Altium Tool are added advantage. Experience with multilayer PCB designs (8+ layers up to 24+ layers). Knowledge of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) concepts. Hands-on experience with DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SATA, HDMI, and high-speed differential routing. Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes. Familiarity with IPC-2221, IPC-7351, and IPC standards. Experience generating Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, and manufacturing deliverables. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience with EMI/EMC design considerations.
