Job summary

IND-Medtronic MiniMed India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable specialist to manage end-to-end procure-to-pay processes from invoice verification to payment runs in SAP.

You will partner with a BPO and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, support month-end closings, ensure controls, and mentor junior teammates in a dynamic shared services setup in Pune.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required.
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in accounts payable or procure-to-pay.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and P2P processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end P2P activities including invoice verification and payment runs.
• Coordinate with BPO to ensure timely processing and resolve exceptions.
• Support month-end closings with accruals and reports on AP.
• Ensure internal controls and compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain SOPs.

About the Role

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute end-to-end P2P activities, including invoice verification, posting, payment runs, and vendor account reconciliations in SAP.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the BPO team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and resolution of exceptions.
• Review and resolve complex invoice exceptions, discrepancies, and blocked invoices escalated by the BPO partner.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and local statutory requirements.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and reports related to accounts payable.
• Liaise with procurement, business units, vendors, and the BPO team to resolve queries and ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs for both in-house and BPO teams, identify process gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the P2P function.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members within the P2P team.
• Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures, including those related to BPO activities.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in accounts payable or procure to pay, preferably in a shared service center environment.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Solid understanding of accounting principles and P2P processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Problem-solving and escalation handling.
• English proficiency, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
