Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps and compliance-as-code.
  • Proficient in IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience in production test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfortable in Windows, Linux, macOS CLI; system administration is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker, Git/GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.

About the Role

A Day in the Life Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with MiniMed's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. DevOps + Automation Engineer

With a proven track record of managing and automating end-to-end CI/CD lifecycles in a fast-paced environment or in regulated industries (such as Medical Devices, Aerospace, or Automotive), you will be responsible for designing, automating and maintaining robust build pipelines, automating software control (SCM) processes, and seamlessly integrating automated testing frameworks—including Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments. A critical part of this role will be automating compliance reporting, code quality gates (MISRA/SAST), and audit trail documentation to conform with medical device standards like IEC 62304.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work with cloud; Utilize multi-cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) and application deployment skills.
  • Develop and manage software configuration management plans (SCMP) for product development.
  • Automate SCM workflows with scripts for end-to-end pipelines and compliance.
  • Enhance developer experience through engineering tools for productivity, quality, and test automation in the SDLC.
  • Improve product quality and development efficiency by implementing new tools.
  • Scale and architect CI/CD workflows.
  • Provide DevOps coaching and support.
  • Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and fixing code and deployment errors on Linux and Windows.
  • Generate systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
  • May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
Must Have Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in building CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps practices and compliance-as-code.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation for application deployments and quality checks.
  • Significant experience in production test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfortable working in command-line environments on Windows, Linux, and MacOS; system administration is a plus.
  • Experience in Docker, Git/GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. Section 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
