Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Principal Specialist – AP/AR in Bengaluru to lead end-to-end AP/AR operations, manage vendor relations, and drive automation.

You will collaborate with Operations, HR, and global teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in financial processes, while mentoring peers and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance or CA Intermediate.
• 3–5 years of hands-on AP/AR experience.
• Hands-on proficiency in SAP FICO, NetSuite, and strong O2C knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional and global teams.
• On-site for the first 6 months; Hybrid eligible thereafter (performance-based).
• UK shift (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST, 45 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end AP/AR operations and reconciliations.
• Maintain vendor and customer relationships and resolve escalations.
• Prepare advanced financial reports on payment cycles, working capital and cash flow.
• Lead interactions with external auditors and ensure accounting compliance.
• Identify policy improvements and embed automation to streamline workflows.
• Mentor team members on accounting standards and growth.

Role Overview

We are looking for an analytical Principal Specialist – AP/AR to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will oversee complex AP/AR operations, maintain key vendor and customer relationships, drive process automation, and serve as a functional guide across internal teams and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• AP/AR Management: Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable execution, perform complex reconciliations, and resolve operational discrepancies.
• Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and customers, as well as internal teams (Operations, HR, AP, and AR), to resolve escalated queries.
• Reporting & Cash Flow: Prepare advanced financial reports providing actionable insights into payment cycles, working capital, and cash flow.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead interactions with external auditors, providing comprehensive documentation and ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards.
• Process Improvement: Identify policy enhancements and embed automation tools to streamline workflows.
• Mentorship: Guide team members on accounting standards and support their technical growth.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of relevant hands‑on experience in AP/AR operations.
• Education: MBA in Finance or CA Intermediate.
• Technical Skills: Hands‑on proficiency in SAP FICO, NetSuite, and strong functional expertise in Order-to-Cash (O2C). (SAP certification is not required).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate seamlessly across cross‑functional and global teams.
• Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical capability with a proven track record of resolving complex accounting challenges independently.
