Detailed Description:

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate into a test plan for execution at feature level.
• Automation scripts design, review, and execution using Robot Framework.
• Complete test activities as defined in the project plan, including test plans, test cases, test execution, and feedback to the application owner.
• Manage test-related documentation on GitHub or GitLab or similar repository.
• Assist application developers to prepare application testing packages (test plan, test cases, and management of test execution).
• Extensive experience in integration testing.
• Familiar with cloud-based application testing (added advantage).
• Provide consulting on test methodology and tools.
• Collaborate with the Development team to support release planning, estimation, and delivery processes using Agile methodologies.
• Create and maintain test plans, acceptance criteria, regression test suites, and map requirements to test cases.
• Provide testability/QA feedback to product development teams through participation in design and development reviews, and manage defect tracking, communication, and resolution processes.
• Ensure all integration testing is performed and that system components are documented in GitHub with appropriate documentation for checkout, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• 9 to 12 years of automotive software testing experience and 7+ years of automation scripting.
• Testing knowledge in Android Infotainment System.
• Experience writing test plans for features from scratch and defining KPIs.
• Experience with Robot Framework in the automotive domain.
• Strong communication, analytical, judgment, initiative, and execution skills.
• Awareness of Agile/SCRUM terminology.
• Hands-on with SCM tools: GIT, RTC, JIRA, XRAY, ClearCase, CaNalyzer, and Canoe.
• Working knowledge of build systems - Linux (Android), scripting - Bash, Python, Perl & CAPL; operating systems - Linux, QNX, Android.
• Automotive knowledge; awareness of Android Infotainment features; testing; CAN and LIN protocol awareness (advantage).
• Appium knowledge; UI Automator or Selenium with Robot Framework.
• Android platform level testing is required.
• Experience with serial and ADB logs; experience building frameworks with Python; Jenkins proficiency.
• Drive for results, team player, change orientation, customer focus, and self-awareness; strong interpersonal skills for a global matrix organization.
• Adaptable to changing demands; good knowledge of the software development life cycle.
