Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Private Limited is seeking a Software Design Manager for L2/L3/Cloud to lead a team of ICs delivering new products and updates for end-user applications across local, networked, and Internet platforms. You will manage headcount, schedules, and budgets to align with program roadmaps.

The role requires deep experience with L2/L3 edge protocols, IPv6, strong C/Python skills, and hands-on cloud-native deployment concepts like Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Typically 10+ years of related work experience, with 3+ years of people-management experience.
  • Extensive experience with L2/L3 Edge protocols (e.g., DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP) and deep knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (VLAN, LAG, IGMP snooping, NTP).
  • Proficiency in IPv6 enablement on legacy IPv4 networks, IPv6 rollout, and certification requirements.
  • Strong C/Python programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native deployment concepts (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience implementing or integrating modern network configuration interfaces (OpenConfig, gRPC, gNMI) and data modeling (YANG, JSON, REST APIs).
