Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Software Engineer Staff- Packet Forwarding to design and implement networking software components. The role requires strong C/C++ coding skills, Unix/Linux expertise, and hands-on networking design experience in a collaborative team environment.

The position is onsite with expectations to work from an HPE office in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of networking know-how and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Job Description:

What you will do:

• Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of applications implementing Monitoring Services.


• Analyses design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.


• Writes and executes complete unit-testing plans.


• Identifies debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application.

What you need to bring:

• Requires B.E. in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science with at least 10+ years of experience in the Networking industry.


• Hands-on experience with designing and coding in Networking.


• Be a Team player.


• Core Skills: Knowledge of Internet Protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6).


• IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS)L3 Protocols


• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging.


• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Ability to work effectively in teams with strong interpersonal skills.

Additionals Skills:

• Programming skills in Python


• Good written and verbal communication skills and agile in a changing environment.
