Job summary

Syngene International Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Principal Scientist – Analytical Development with 10–15 years of experience in analytical method development and a MSc in Chemistry to lead experiments and drive lab excellence.

You will oversee HPLC, GC, LCMS and related techniques, ensure safety and compliance, mentor a small team, and partner with Drug Substance Development and Manufacturing to deliver robust methodologies.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in analytical development.
• M.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Experience with HPLC/GC/LC-MS in method development.

Responsibilities

• Perform robust chromatographic method development using HPLC, GC, LC MS & GC MS.
• Perform analytical activities using instruments such as HPLC, GC, LCMS, GPC, NMR.
• Plan and perform method verification experiments with accuracy, reproducibility, recovery/high purity
• Prioritize the samples to reduce backlog and monitor progress to avoid duplication
• Manage a small group of analysts
• Keep track of team progress and Lab needs
• Review LNB and ensure Lab compliance
• Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of instruments and document reports
• Follow EHS requirements at all times in the workplace
• Attend safety trainings imparted by the company

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize the samples such that there is less no. of backlog samples, monitor samples to avoid duplication
• Manage small group of analysts
• Keep tracking the progress of the team member and Lab needs
• Review LNB and make sure the Lab compliance
• Perform calibration of instruments, preventive maintenance of systems on a regular basis and document the reports.
• Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
• Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company
