Job summary

Jacobs in India seeks a senior planning engineer to oversee on-site construction scheduling, coordinating with project teams and contractors to implement the project execution plan in Gurugram.

You will develop Level III schedules in MS Project and Primavera, review Level IV submissions, monitor progress, forecast bottlenecks, and lead regular progress meetings to keep the project on track and aligned with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 8–20 years in Planning.
• Proficient with MS Project and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Level III construction schedules in MS Project/Primavera.
• Review contractor schedules and comment/approve Level IV schedules.
• Coordinate with client and contractor to align weekly/fortnightly programmes.
• Monitor progress, maintain milestone records, and draft progress and closure reports.
• Facilitate regular progress meetings and escalate bottlenecks.

Your impact

Job Description

• Planning/ monitoring of all construction activities on site.
• Assist Site Manager in planning of construction activities within the time as per the Project Execution plan

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Level III schedule for construction in MS Project/ Primavera as per the requirement of client
• Review and comment/ approve the level IV schedule submitted by contractors.
• Study, assess and comment on Contractor’s resources (both Manpower and Tools/ Tackles/ Plant Machinery Resources) for adequacy of executing awarded job within Schedules and in accordance with safe practice.
• Based on given overall programme, assist in establishing weekly / fortnightly programme in agreement with Contractor.
• Conduct regular progress review meetings with Contractors at pre-determined agreed intervals to assess achieved programme vis a vis scheduled programme and prepare & issue Minutes of meeting.
• Assist in forecasting bottlenecks or any other problems, which may impede construction progress and advise persons concerned for expediting for removal of bottlenecks.
• Maintain detailed record of milestone events and construction progress to enable Construction Manager to compile/ issue periodical Progress Reports and Closure Reports on completion of Construction.
• Co-ordinate with Projects / Engineering for timely release of IFC drawings to meet the construction schedule.
• Progress Monitoring , Update schedules
• Highlight the short fall and constraints
• Generate and circulate Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress reports
• Establish various records/ reports /site documentation to be maintained and ensure that these records are properly maintained with the help from other site staff.
• Co-ordination with Client representative in regard to updating planning inputs, etc.

Here’s what you’ll need

Qualification – Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience – 8 to 20 years in Planning. Must be fully conversant with MS Project and Primavera.
